Merry Christmas! Usually every year around Christmas, I turn into Scrooge...but this year I've been feeling rather excited. Not sure where it came from...but its great! :D
Yesterday, as you know, was Christmas eve. I did some cleaning and preparation for today for the most part. But in the evening, I celebrated a tradition that I've been doing every year since I was sixteen; watching A Colbert Christmas and drinking egg nog! Actually, I usually have egg nog with rum in it...but this year I decided that I didn't want any alcohol. Its become boring and sickening to me. So anyways, after that, I watched The Muppet Christmas Carol! Its my favorite Christmas movie ever! I still have The Muppet Christmas Carol VHS from when I was a kid. Oh, the nostalgia. Also, I got cuddles from Matt and Dexter, and...I discovered that Goosebumps is on Netflix! Which got me really excited. I was obsessed with the show and the books when I was a kid! xD

Today started out great. I got a nice bundle of presents, which made me smile. For quite a few years, I haven't gotten much for Christmas. Not that I care that much about presents. I was always excited about Christmas dinner more than anything. But I won't deny that I was thrilled with the presents I got this year. I felt like a kid again. Yay presents! LOL! I got; a Jimmy Page shirt, handmade Converse inspired knitted socks, a Tardis blanket, an eye of Sauron Kobo Mini cozy, an Agent Cooper mug, a skull sweater, a twelve pack of hair chalk, lavender scented body spray, an Alice in Wonderland game for my DS Lite, a replica of the Samulet (Supernatural), pink slippers, and a Ravenclaw tank top. ^_^

Dinner was great. Matt's mom and sister came over to join us, which was lovely. Man...that stuffing...*drools*...LOL. We opened presents after that. Matt got everything he asked for (basically just a gift card to buy video games & chocolate...haha). I love seeing him happy. But I think the highlight of the present opening was when his sister and his parents opened the gifts that we bought for them. His parents actually cried. They were so touched by the cute gifts that Matt had picked out for them (a mug that said 'mother' with a little poem on it & a darth vader bobble head that says 'worlds best father'). I don't think anything feels better than giving. :3
After all that excitement, I brought out my homemade shortbread cookies. I've been making them every year since I was a kid (from a secret family recipe). And they were a hit, as usual. Everyone loved them. Yay! Matt's mom and sister left not long after that. So we just relaxed on the couch and watched TV. But I started feeling tired...so I've been in my bedroom relaxing since then. Oh and wearing my new Jimmy Page shirt. Its so awesome! But if I had to pick which gift is my favorite, I'd have to say...the Tardis blanket. I've wanted it for a year...maybe longer, LOL. It just kept taunting me whenever I was at the mall. So glad its mine now! :P

Now I'm gonna relax with a nice hot cup of tea, a plate of Turtles chocolates, and I'm probably gonna re-watch Lord of the Rings. "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!". I hope everyone had a good Christmas! ;D
