august 2024: a month to remember

♪♫ Another Day in Paradise - Phil Collins

This month has been the most amazing month of the past year... and perhaps the past few years. I went on my annual road trip to New Brunswick to visit my best friend for two weeks, but this time, we went on a five day trip to Salem, Massachusetts in the United States. Although Salem was the main destination, we also stopped in Bangor and Augusta, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, we went to Boston for half a day, went to Fall River, Massachusetts to visit the Lizzie Borden House, and we also went to Providence, Rhode Island for half a day. We did a lot in a short period of time and I had so much fun! I did most of the tourist-y things in Salem; went to the Witch House, the Salem Witch Museum, the Halloween Museum, the Witch Board Museum, the International Monster Museum, we ate at a haunted restaurant, we went on a ghost walking tour at night, plus we walked around to explore and went into tons of cute shops! Its such a fun place with spooky vibes. Even though we went in the summer, it still felt like Halloween! We didn't get to do everything though, so we definitely want to go back!

In Rhode Island and New Hampshire we mostly just looked in some shops, drove around a bit and went to restaurants for dinner. We didn't get to do much, but it was cool to see what both places are like. Although I must say driving in Providence was stressful because they have cameras everywhere to enforce then speed limit. Where I live, everyone speeds a bit. It was hard to constantly try not to exceed 30 miles per hour. Speaking of driving, I drove in Boston! I'm proud of myself. It really wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. I explored the city and got to drive in underground tunnels for the first time. I also drove through the Harvard campus and saw the hotel that the Tipton is based on while I was there (from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody). We walked through the mall, then went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. We don't have it in Canada and neither of us has tried it before, so we were super excited! It didn't disappoint. I got stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious, then the cheesecake... oh my goodness... it was divine. I couldn't even eat it all in one sitting. I took it back to the Airbnb to finish. I wish I could have done more in Boston, but my friend only lives a five hour drive away and we are already discussing maybe doing another little trip there for our birthdays (our birthdays are only eleven days apart).

Another weird thing I feel compelled to mention is how many wild rabbits I saw in Massachusetts. It was so strange. In Salem, we saw a rabbit on the doorstep of the Airbnb when we walked up, then it hopped away. It felt like some sort of supernatural experience, haha. Then we saw a bunch in the middle of downtown Boston! I've seen rabbits where I live, but only near the woods. Never in the middle of the city. It was so weird!

Aside from all of that, we also ate some amazing meals. We went to Olive Garden again, which is my favorite US restaurant. I think I've eaten there five or six times now. We also went to Longhorn Steakhouse for the first time and the steak was amazing! It reminded me of a steakhouse that used to be where I live. It was a popular spot for decades and very nostalgic, but sadly they closed. Anyways, we also ate at a place called The Ugly Mug Diner in Salem, which I highly recommend. We had to wait for a seat because it was so busy! I got steak and eggs, and wow... perfection. The other meal that was memorable was from the haunted restaurant we went to, called Rockafellas. I got a hummus platter with veggie and pita bread, and my best friend got mini pulled pork sliders. We shared our meals with each other and it was amazing. I regret not taking a picture of it.

here are my photos from the trip

The highlight of the trip, for me, was the Lizzie Borden house. The tour was thorough and definitely worth the money. The house has super creepy vibes and while in the attic I started to feel faint (but I hadn't told anyone or shown signs of it), and the tour guide told us that folks often get faint in the attic and they believe its related to a spirit. Freaked me out a little! Also, they took us to the basement where years prior they had someone spray luminol on the floor boards just under where the father was murdered, and there were still small specs of blood! Next door to the house is an old home that used to belong to relatives of the Borden family, which is now a Lizzie Borden themed coffee shop. We went in and got some delicious iced coffee, haha. Before I forget the coolest part of this experience: we ended up in the newspaper! Someone had vandalized a traffic sign across from the Lizzie Borden house the night prior to make it look like Lizzie Borden with an axe, and as we walked past it, a man took our picture. He then approached us and said he worked for the newspaper and that we would be in it! I checked a couple days later and he was telling the truth! Sadly I only have a screenshot of their web version of the article. Its not a flattering photo of me, so I'm not gonna post it on here, but its cool I ended up in the newspaper anyways!

Here is what I got for souvenirs. First of all, I got a postcard from each place I went to. I collect postcards from trips because they're cheap and don't take up much space. I saved some brochures and tickets from places we went. The Halloween Museum didn't have a ticket or brochure, but I saved the 3D glasses they gave me. I also saved the bag from the cheesecake factory... don't laugh at me! Haha! For larger items, I got a vintage pumpkin pail and a vintage Halloween treat bag from an antique shop/thrift store called Jerry's Department Store. I highly recommend if you love vintage Halloween! I got a Salem shirt, a Salem key chain, and a pencil (impulse purchase because it was only 30 cents). Finally, in Providence, I ended up buying a magnet because the artwork was really cool. Overall, I didn't overspend and didn't buy too much stuff. Most of these items are going into my travel memories box (aside from the vintage Halloween items, shirt, keychain, and pencil). I also turned my vacation pictures into poloraids and they'll be going in the box as well. Just waiting for the photo centre to finish printing them.

On the way back, we stopped in Bangor, Maine, and I went to Target since its my favorite store in the US. I bought a Tree Hut body scrub, a pumpkin candle, and a thin yellow comforter to put on my bed during summer (I searched everywhere in my city but couldn't find a thin yellow one).

When we got back to New Brunswick, the fun didn't end! Unfortunately there was an issue with the power at her house. She just moved in and they connected it to the wrong house. Since we returned on a Friday, we had to wait until Monday for them to fix it. We ended up going across the border to Calais, Maine to stay in a hotel for two nights. During that time, it just so happened to be the International Festival. Its an annual event to celebrate the friendship between the border town of St. Stephen, New Brunswick and Calais, Maine. It involved a parade, an outdoor market, a beer garden, and fireworks! We only participated in browsing the outdoor market and going to the fireworks, but it was fun! I also went to Walmart in Calais for even more items; two more Tree Hut scrubs, Bodycology Hawaiian Beach body wash, Body Fantasies Cotton Candy spray, celestial flared leggings, an orange sweater, and a couple treats. After the power situation was resolved, we did a lot more fun stuff; went to a vintage car show, went swimming (I learned what a dock spider is & they're terrifyingly big!), had a campfire & made s'mores, went for ice cream, went thrifting/antiquing, and my favorite part: saw the Northern Lights! It was more faint to the naked eye than what the camera picked up, but it was still super cool! I hope to see them much more vibrant someday.

I didn't want my trip to end, but sadly it had to. Since I returned, I have been mostly working, cleaning/organizing my room, and getting ready for school. However... I did go to a concert for the first time in several years; Platinum Blonde & Billy Idol! I went with my dad and we had an awesome time! He was more excited for Platinum Blonde since he went to see them when he was younger and it was nostalgic. I was more excited for Billy Idol. He really puts on a good show. I was so happy that he played Eyes Without a Face and Hot in the City, since those are my favorite songs of his.

Oh, I nearly forgot... my thrifting finds! I already covered the first two items, so I'll move onto the third one; a '90s colbalt celestial candle holder ($2.99). I have wanted one for a long time, so I was thrilled to find this in Providence, Rhode Island! I hope to come across the sun and star versions someday to complete the set. The fourth item is a set of three Merry Mushroom cansiters ($50 total)! I was blown away that I found these for so cheap and that they were in excellent condition. They are hard to find, and typically one canister is sold for $50. This set would be $150-$200 online. I have wanted a set of three for so long. I have two of the Canadian version canisters, but this is the American version and I think its much cuter. The fifth item is a cute mid century modern set of plastic canisters for flour and coffee ($3). It was so cheap, in decent condition, and I thought they were cute, so they came home with me! Final item is a '90s celestial shower curtain ($6.99). I thrifted the matching window curtains a while back, so now my future home will have a celestial themed bathroom! Now I'll be on the hunt for '90s celestial bathroom items (trash can, soap dispenser, soap dish, etc).

This may be the longest blog I've ever written, haha. I guess I'll wrap it up now. I have to get back to cleaning anyways. I'll leave you with a fall-themed edit of the picture of me in front of the Witch House in Salem. I hope everyone is enjoying the end of summer!

so many exciting things!!!

♪♫ Viva la Vida - Coldplay

I've got some really great news! But first of all...

Happy Birthday Jared Padalecki!
Today is my favorite actor/future husband's 34th birthday!

Alright now onto the great news; I got accepted into college today (for the child and youth care program - starting this September)! Its in a small town that is about an hour away, which I've never really spent time in... but its a whole new adventure and I'm very excited! I already applied for my student loan earlier, and I'm eligible for government funding (which would mean I wouldn't have student loans to pay back - or at least only a little to pay back). Not sure when I'm gonna hear about that. I'm a bit nervous... but yeah... I was also accepted into the residency at the college. I got a large single dorm room, which means I won't have to share with anyone! Yay! And they said I can bring a mini fridge, so I'm gonna get one! I'm also gonna buy a small shelf for groceries. I want to have my own little stash of vegan food. ♥

Speaking of exciting things... I went to see City and Colour live in concert last week! I must say that I'm super impressed by Dallas' voice in person. It's so much better than it was on his albums (and it's pretty amazing on his albums)! He is a truly talented man. He even did two encores! The crowd loved him. Probably the best concert I've ever been to! Also, I'm super happy that he did The Grand Optimist and Comin' Home; my two favorites! ♥

Last, but not least; I'm going on my trip this Friday! I'm basically just going back to my old town for a week to see my friends, which is very exciting! Its my first solo trip (which I've planned all by myself), and I'm paying for it with some of my savings and my graduation gift money. Its almost $800 for everything all together, which is actually quite cheap for a trip. I'm getting there via the bus, which is the cheapest way to travel. I will be staying in a hostel... which will be an interesting experience. The hostel has great reviews though, so I've got high hopes. I got $50 a day for food and spending, which is pretty decent. Plus I got money for taxis, the city bus, and a new backpack from my favorite store; Mister Music (a hippie type store)! Its gonna be a good time! I'm really just too excited about it! ♥

That is about it for now. I will try to write a blog before I leave on Friday for my trip. I'll probably do one of those "whats in my bag?" type things, but a travel version! Plus I'll post a picture of the food I'm bringing. I may have went a little overboard with the food... lol! I also might list my top ten travel songs... we'll have to wait and see!

its been too long...

♪♫ Northern Wind - City and Colour

Its been quite a while! A lot of awesome stuff has happened since I last blogged. For starters, I bought tickets to see an artist that I've loved since I was fifteen or so... City and Colour aka Dallas Green! It was $55 per ticket, which is pretty cheap for a concert! Its happening this Thursday in the evening time, and my dad is coming with me! I'm so excited! I even bought a cute dress for $10 to wear that night. Plus we're going to eat at a vegan restaurant before heading there. Its gonna be amazing!

I added an extra day onto my upcoming trip (I'm going back to my old city to see friends). Since I have limited money, I originally planned to stay six days... but I thought "why not just make it a full week?", so I decided to scrounge together an extra $50 for the extra day ($20 for food & $30 for the hostel). I contacted the woman who runs the hostel to add an extra day to my reservation and guess what she says to me? No charge! Apparently you get a free night when you book a whole week! So now I just need an extra $20 for food, which is not an issue at all. I'm so happy!

I'm sure everyone knows by now that I went vegan a month or so ago, so I thought I'd update everyone on how its been going. Three major things that I've noticed are; I have a ton of energy, my acne has almost entirely cleared up, and I'm losing weight even faster (despite eating more calories - I don't know how that is possible). I'm really enjoying vegan food... like a lot. I'm also getting over my fear of carbs. Most of my diet is mostly carbs now actually... As far as fats go, I get mine from ground flax seeds, walnuts, and the occasional avocado (I aim for about 30g of fat per day). When it comes to protein, I get about 50g per day on average (which is 10g more than needed). Protein is actually quite easy to get on a vegan diet, as long as you consume a few servings of protein rich foods like beans, quinoa, tofu, etc on a daily basis. I track everything I eat to make sure I'm getting proper nutrients, and most of them have been easy to get! The only one that I find slightly hard sometimes is iron (without trying I get about 80% of the daily recommended intake - but I have to add more iron rich foods in to reach 100% or more). I also take a B12 supplement everyday, and I've just ordered vegan vitamin D2 supplements (since I live in a place where its not sunny enough). Anyways, here are some pictures of delicious vegan meals that I've had in the past few weeks...

I also got my hair cut recently. I decided to go for a new look, so I got bangs along with a basic trim! I'm loving it! I feel so different with bangs... but in a good way! Its been quite easy to keep up with them too. It takes maybe five minutes after I shower to spray on some heat protectant and straighten them. Plus its only $6 a month to get them trimmed (plus a $2 tip - so about $8). Anyways, here is what I look like now...

In my last blog I talked about how I ordered a set of reusable cloth pads from LunaPads. Well... I tried them out... and I love them! They're so much more comfortable than regular pads! They're also pretty easy to clean, surprisingly. I'm also impressed by their absorbency. I had no issues with them at all! On a similar note... I noticed that my period was light and didn't last as long. I think this is due to being vegan... I've heard a lot of women say that their periods got a ton better after going vegan. I'm pretty glad to be honest... I've always had super heavy and painful periods for my entire life...

Last, but not least... I re-opened my Etsy store! I've got seven items up for sale right now, so go check them out by clicking here! I'm also selling my Twin Peaks inspired rings again (since they were such a hit last time), so check them out if you're a fan! Aside from that, there isn't much else that is new. I will try to blog again before going on my trip in a couple weeks. By for now!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I bought some DVDs for the first time in ages! I also bought some vegan cheddar flavored popcorn, which will last for four movie nights. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm excited! I hope it tastes like Smartfood popcorn... that stuff was so damn good, haha.

you gave to me a new belief

♪♫ Sweet Leaf - City And Colour

Can you believe it's April already? Still feels like January with the shitty weather we've been having. Ahhh. Especially on Tuesday. There was a huge snowstorm. Its supposed to be Spring! Anyways, Tuesday was also April Fool's Day...so naturally I tricked my mum, LOL. She fell for it! And I also ordered another Game Boy Advance game; Quidditch World Cup. Yay! :D

Yesterday I paid off the last of my phone bill. I really didn't want to...but I don't want bad credit either. So after that was overwith, I got my hair done! No more blue! I went back to my natural hair color with highlights and lowlights, plus got a lot of my hair cut off. I love it! Its a fresh start! And I also wore makeup for the first time in a while. It really boosted my self esteem! However...it costed a ridiculous amount of money...like over $200. Never again, LOL. Anyways, we did a bit of shopping after leaving the salon. We got munchies at the grocery store and dollar store. Plus some other random stuff. Nothing that exciting though. xD

We had dinner when we got back to my grandmother's. I ate quickly because I was excited about munchies and watching a movie, LOL. We had a ton of delicious treats and we watched Beetlejuice. And I ordered some black ribbon and black velcro to make bows for my curtains! I'm gonna buy a curtain rod at the end of the month (hopefully). I should have enough money. :P

Today was a great day. Matt and I got the ferry to downtown Halifax and met up with my dad. We walked around and looked in a lot stores. A lot of stuff was pricey, but I ended up buying myself a Black Sabbath tank top, my dad bought me an AC/DC top and Matt bought himself a Ren and Stimpy shirt. We headed into the mall after that...well...several malls. But one particularly had a lot of awesome stores. I bought a bunch of stuff for my bedroom, cigarettes, a liquor store card (which I later realized wouldn't work in NB - herp derp), Tim Horton's card, etc. And we all had lunch. I got crispy chicken wraps at McDonald's. Yum! :3

After the stores started closing, we headed to the Metro Centre. I heard that Black Sabbath would be playing there that night. I was hoping to have enough money for tickets, but holy fuck...they were so expensive! My heart broke a little bit. So my dad walked us back to the ferry and we headed back to my grandmother's. The only bad thing about the day was that Matt was in a cranky mood. But I ignored him for the most part. Even though I was somewhat annoyed. -_-

I just finished eating dinner, so now I'm packing all my stuff and charging my electronics. Matt and I are heading home tomorrow. I'm really excited. I get home sick so easily! I hope the bus ride isn't brutally boring. So yeah...time for bed now. :(

Happy Canada Day!

♪♫ When You Blow At High Dough - The Tragically Hip

First of all, last night went really well. I cleaned/organized my room (finally), had a shower, made four hot dogs, had a glass of peach juice, watched Breaking Amish and went to bed. May not be that exciting to some people, but I managed to get out of bed and do something. My depression has been bad lately, so I'm trying to force myself to do things. Also, is it weird that no matter how hot it is, I can't sleep unless I'm wearing socks and/or slippers? :/

Well today was awesome as always. Like I always say; something good always happens to me on Canada Day. Today is in my top three favorites for sure. Okay, so I started out the day by not knowing what I was gonna do. I had no plans with anyone, so I was just gonna walk around uptown by myself. Kat texted me not long after I woke up and Garnet messaged me, both wanting to meet up. So I ended up meeting up with both of them and lots more people; Shayne, Alisha, Abby (Alisha's daughter), Alice (Kat's daughter), Missy, Frans, Paul and Greg. We spent a while in Subway, because everyone was hungry and the line was quite long.

Half of our group left to go to the museum, a couple people stayed in Subway and a couple people left to walk around. So it left Kat, Alice and I to find everyone else. We stopped to look around at all the festivities that were going on. I got a mini Canadian flag, which I adore. Anyways, we went to the museum and looked around a bit while trying to find our friends. We ended up finding them, but they left as soon as we got there. They didn't say where they were headed, so we were kinda pissed. But our other two friends met up with us. So we went off again, trying to find everyone.

One of our friends left to go home right after we left the museum, so we decided to head up the street. We seen my ex boyfriend on the way and he looked kinda guilty. He was supposed to hangout with us, but said he had no way there. But there he was, with a group of people. I got pissed and told him that we felt like he was always ditching us. He apologized and we made plans for Friday. I hope that goes good. Anyways, we got halfway up the street and seen everyone else. So the group was back together again. Except for three people who went home.

Kat decided to go home with Alice and Paul needed a drive, so they left. My boyfriend was on his way to see me (he was supposed to work, but he got the day off, yay!), so we waited at the bus stop for him. Plus Shayne, Alisha and Abby were going home. I know all of this is confusing. Too many friends to keep track of. So yeah...my boyfriend showed up and we spent an hour waiting with them for their bus. Then Garnet, my boyfriend and I went to the square to see what was going on. Everything was closing up, but Garnet got the last ice cream they had and for free too! Then we decided to walk down to the festivities again. It took forever to get there, because Garnet stopped to talk to a bunch of people. -_-

When we finally got there, most of the stuff was being packed up. But there was a tent open and we went inside to see what it was all about. Turned out to be some sort of weird promotion thingy for the lottery (they funded the Canada Day celebration). We got to play a game, get a picture taken of us (which is hilarious) and we each got a free stylus/pen. We ran into a couple people and talked for a few minutes. They wanted us to grab them mini Canadian flags, so we went down and grabbed some. Plus I grabbed a pin too.

We randomly decided to get some drinks, so we headed to the bar. My new favorite drink is a Pornstar. Ever since last Friday, I've just been addicted. They're so fucking good. So I got one and the guys got beer. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the live music. Some random guy came up to us and asked if he could take our picture, so we agreed. No idea why, but he put it on Instagram and tagged me. Turned out alright. The weather started to get really cold, so I told them to finish their beer so we could go to a pub for dinner.

The pub was awesome. It was my first time there, even though I've heard countless people rave about their food. I got a poutine and the guys got burgers. Definitely going back there! We had a smoke on their patio, which is really high up. Even though I'm afraid of heights, I was fine. So we decided to go back to the festivities again. It was late at this point, so a lot of older people drinking and live music. We sat down and talked to a few friends for a little while, then decided to get another drink. Of course I got a Pornstar again. The guys got tequila sunrises (they seemed very in-sync today). Then a famous local band called WTFunk started to play. It was pretty great. But the fireworks started early and everyone rushed over to the boardwalk to see them halfway through the band playing. It was foggy, so they weren't that great. But oh well.

I instantly felt sick afterwards and I was getting really bitchy. So Garnet got a drive home and my boyfriend walked me home. On our way, we almost seen a fight. Two guys were trying to fight each other, but a girl was standing between them (and holding a baby). They threw drinks at each other and were yelling, but nothing interesting happened. My boyfriend also felt sick, so we quickly finished our cigarettes, had a goodnight kiss and I ran into my house. I barely made it to the bathroom and I got really sick. Not sure what caused it. But I took some medicine, so I feel better now. So that was my Canada Day; a wild crazy adventure. Happy Canada Day! █ ♥ █

P.S. My eyebrows are getting thicker. So happy that I decided to let them grow out. They were too thin before. Gonna go watch True Blood now! ^_^

♪♫ No More Tears - Ozzy Osbourne

A lot has happened since I last wrote a blog. First of all, I had a good few days before I traveled home on Saturday. I mostly sat around watching TV and eating apples. I've recently become an apple addict. They're just so juicy and delicious! Anyways, I ended up going to the clinic before I left and found out that I have a urinary tract infection, so they prescribed me macrobid. On a more positive note, I got a bag of marshmallow rabbits from The Bulk Barn! They're my favorite Easter candy and I try to get a bag of them every year. I was supposed to save them for my trip home, but I ate them all the day before. :P

I also found out that Rush sold out and Kiss isn't coming here anymore. So all I have left is Brit Floyd in three weeks. Its only $50, so I'm pretty sure I will be able to go. I'm just so disappointed about Rush and Kiss. I think Kiss is still going to my hometown though, so I may be able to go still. I heard rumors about Motley Crue joining them, which would be amazing! I absolutely love Motley Crue. Home Sweet Home is one of my all time favorite songs. In fact, I spent a lot of time listening to it before I traveled home. :D

I stayed up all night on Friday (spent most of the time getting dressed up), so I slept most of the bus ride on Saturday, which was great because it went by really fast. I got everything unpacked when I got home, then I opened up all the packages that I ordered from Ebay. Everything turned out perfect! After that, my boyfriend came to see me. We decided to get drunk, so we went to the liquor store and went to our friend Sam's house. It was just the three of us and we had a really awesome time. We ordered Chinese food, watched Whose Line Is It Anyway, looked up funny stuff online, etc. I didn't even have a hangover the next day when I woke up!

Sunday was boring. I relaxed for a while, then I cleaned and organized my entire room. It looks perfect now! I also got a mini fridge (it was a surprise from my mom & step dad) and I love it so much! I only have liquor, apples and water in it right now. On Friday I'm gonna buy myself some groceries and fill the fridge. So excited. :)

Monday was a busy day. I woke up early, got ready and met up with my boyfriend. We went for some lunch, went to the bank, then we went to the university (so that he could give me a tour). Then we went to the liquor store, Shopper's and caught a bus to Garnet's house for my welcome back party. I wasn't drinking because of my medication, so I just watched everyone else drink. It was a crazy night. We played awesome music, talked, laughed...just so awesome. Especially because I got to see Kara for the first time in months. I missed her a lot. Near the end of the night, I started getting bad body aches, fever and chills. I cabbed home and once I got inside, it got ten times worse.

I ended up having to call a nurse hotline and they said I was having an allergic reaction to Macrobid. So I stopped taking it. I was forced to stay up all night, crying and feeling scared. She told me to go to a hospital, but I didn't. I had no way there. So I waited for my mom to come home, but I ended up falling asleep. It wasn't a good sleep though. I kept waking up in pain. So yesterday wasn't very fun. I was in bed all day, my mom brought me water and food.

In the evening, something horrible happened to my best friend Kara. Her ex boyfriend made a Facebook page with all the naked pictures she sent him. Tons of people seen it, although everyone was very supportive and reported the page, one cunt thought it was funny though and sent it to all her friends. It took Facebook six hours or more to remove the page, which is ridiculous. Poor Kara was so upset and embarrassed. She never wants to leave her house again. We don't know why he did it, because she broke up with him last summer and they haven't spoken since then. Its really fucked up. I feel so bad for her. :(

Also, last night I had some awful chest pains. They were so bad that I couldn't move and I was crying. I'm not sure if this is also linked to the allergic reaction, but it sucked. I could sleep till early in the morning. At least I had a good dream though. I might write it down and turn it into a story. Basically it was about forbidden love between a teacher and student (college student, just so you know its legal, haha). Anyways, I haven't done anything yet today. Just waiting for my mom and step dad to bring me some KFC. :D

We had to walk there and it was a really long walk. Plus is was really hot outside. We almost seen a fight too. When we arrived, there was a ton of people at the party. I barely knew anyone. A lot of drugs were going around (weed, acid, coke, etc). I'm used to weed and acid...but the coke made me feel uncomfortable. A lot of sex at the party too. I had a good time though. I just had some vodka, talked with awesome people, had some good laughs and even had an awkward moment (walked in on my friend using the bathroom). Afterwards, I walked home around 3:30 am.

I was scared to go in alone, so my friend checked for "monsters" for me. I felt like such a child. But I'm really afraid of my house. Especially when I'm alone. Its so creepy. Anyways, Kara's mom texted me before I went to bed and asked where Kara was. I had no idea and then I became quite worried about her. Turns out she was fine though.

On Saturday, I was supposed to get groceries, but I didn't get all the money that I should have. So I ended up cleaning and unpacking instead. After a delicious supper (chilli with nachos), I started getting ready to meet up with my friends. I did my hair, makeup and wore a cute outfit. I never usually dress up. I felt so cute!

I met up with Garnet and Shayne at a keg party, which was at a bar. Fifteen dollars for two hours of unlimited beer. Awesome! Well...for people that like beer. Which doesn't include me. But oh well! We waited for BJ (who took forever to get there), then we went a few bars over from where we were to see a Tool cover band. It was ten dollars to get in, but sooo worth it! They were amazing and I thought the lead singer was really hot. I have a weird little crush on him. I even tracked him down on Facebook, haha! My favorite part was a tie between The Pot and Anemia. My least favorite part was having some asshole spill beer into my eye. Ouch!

all dressed up!
I wish I stayed looking this cute for the whole night. But it was so hot at the show, I was sweating like crazy.

at the show!
The band's name is Dissectional if you wanna check 'em out!

I stayed a little while after the show to see my friends, but I got into a little argument with Garnet. Almost everything that comes out of his mouth makes me really angry. He can be such a hypocrite, honestly. And I have no filter. I say whats on my mind. Which can be a good or bad thing...usually bad though. I ended up apologizing anyways...even though it killed me a little.

Sunday was a rough day. I was exhausted from cleaning, but decided to hangout with BJ and Kaley anyways. I got really pissed off though. I was supposed to go home at nine to finish cleaning, but Kaley made me stay at the bar until midnight. And she was what we like to call "Kaley drunk" its like three steps up from white girl wasted. She fell sooo many times and kept yelling. I wanted to run away.

When I finally did leave, I grabbed some Subway and headed home. I did a little bit of cleaning, but I was really tired, so I watched Employee Of The Month (pretty decent movie) and fell asleep.

Today was the busiest day for me. I cleaned all day. I barely got one break. But I finished all the cleaning I needed to do before my parents came back from Quebec. My mum was quite impressed. She gave me some presents from Quebec (Quebec key chain, some sort of mineral rock & a black onyx necklace) and we ordered out some food (pizza, garlic fingers, poutine & pop). Now I'm relaxing in bed and watching the history channel. Life is good. :)

we'd seen each other in a dream

♪♫ Magic Man - Heart

Too much has happened lately for me to blog about. It would take too long to write. A basic summary of everything is on my Twitter if you want to know.

I broke up with Garnet, which I really regret. I didn't intend to do it. But it happpened and now we are friends. Still hurts though. It probably will for a while. Also, I went to see DJ Pauly D in concert. It was horrible. I only went because of Kara. At least I got drunk afterwards. Whiskey saved that night. And listening to Led Zeppelin (whilst dancing in the street) to get the horrible music out of my head. Nothing else really major has happened besides those two things. I'm gonna try to blog more. I'm slack, I know.

turn my sorrow into treasured gold

♪♫ Rolling In The Deep - Adele

I'm finally blogging again! I took a pretty long break, but I'm back! I don't have internet, so I won't be blogging as often as I used to. But anyways...so many things have happened since I last blogged. I'm not gonna mention everything, because it would take too much time and effort. I'm just gonna write about the main important things that have happened. :D

I moved to a different part of town (not too sure if I mentioned that before...). I really love it here. Its much bigger than our old place and closer to my friends (I only have to take one bus instead of three). It also makes me happy that theres a few stores and places to eat close by. The nearest store to my old place was a twenty minute walk. Also, my mum bought me a flatscreen tv and a dvd player for a housewarming present. I've been watching seasons of Supernatural and Boy Meets World for weeks now. xD

Its not exactly official yet, but me and Garnet are back together. We are taking things slow, which is great. Because moving fast always causes problems and fucks things up. We went on a really nice date last week to Topps and he gave me a beautiful bracelet. I'm so happy with how things are going. Also, Kara has a boyfriend (Troy) and Alycia is dating Shayne now. So everyone is happy too! I see a lot of double dates in the future. ^.^

Other than that, some other interesting things that have happened are; Kara got a tattoo (of her son's name; Bentley), Kara, BJ and I got tickets to see Pauly D (with Down With Webster, December Fall Out, Dru and more) in concert, Garnet dyed his hair green, I got a haircut, I finally got my I.D (so I can go go bars!), I quit smoking, I'm on a job search, I've been thinking about my future a lot and lots more things that I cannot remember right now...

heres some pictures!

Me, before going to the bar for the first time.

My ticket for the concert!

Kara's new tattoo; her son's name.

Garnet's green hair.

Thats pretty much it for now. I'm gonna update the "author" page a bit, then I'm gonna blog again in probably another week. :D
