I thought that I had written a blog a week or two ago, but I guess I didn't. Oops! I'm just going to list of everything new that has happened lately. Its in no particular order...

• I bought the Blockbuster party game (well actually I got it for free because of rewards points & a gift card). I played it with my boyfriend and a friend, and it was a ton of fun!


• Went to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Doolittle. Both were good in my opinion, but I thought that The Rise of Skywalker could have been better.

• Went axe throwing and drinking with some co-workers from work. It was a good time! I was home by 11:30pm though. I'm not as wild as I used to be, haha.

• Got my new phone! The camera quality is amazing. I'm blown away by how great it is! So excited to take it to Hawaii to take pictures!

• I got new items in the mail; Joker on DVD, The Lighthouse on Blu-ray, The Sinaloa Story by Barry Gifford and a Lost con 2020 hat!


• Missing my family a lot lately. I cried one night over it. Its just been rough because of how hard I'm working.

• My boyfriend finally came to visit me at my new house. It was so lovely to see him! We went out for dinner, then went out for lunch with my family the next day.

• Got offered a permanent position at work. Yay! My boss told me how impressed she is with my performance!

• Work has been more high stress lately. This past Saturday was my worst shift so far. I felt completely drained afterwards.

• My road test is in two days! I'm super nervous, but excited! If I pass, I'm going to get a car in the next couple weeks. I want to get Honda Civic, but I don't want to pay too much money, so I am looking into used Honda Civics. I got a few appointments in the next week to set everything up!

How has everyone's new year been going so far? I just worked for 8 days straight, which ended on Tuesday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I had yesterday off, which was also a snow day, so I relaxed inside and did nothing exciting (just some minor cleaning & watching TV)... which was awesome! Having a lazy day after working for so long was wonderful. I do work today, but then I have another 3 days off. I'm spending most of that visiting my boyfriend. His birthday was on Tuesday, so I am taking him out for dinner to celebrate!

I've done a fair bit of online shopping lately. I ended up buying a new phone. This wasn't an impulse buy, its actually something I've been looking at for a while. Its mostly for the camera honestly. I was just going to buy a digital camera (to take good pictures when traveling), but then a youth I work with told me about a brand called Xiaomi that has affordable phones that are iPhone quality or better! I researched it heavily and concluded it was a great investment. I paid around $400 for a phone with a 48 megapixel camera and 64gb of memory! To put that in perspective; two years ago I paid around $300 for my current phone which has an 8 megapixel camera and 16gb of memory. What an upgrade!


I also bought screen protectors, a shockproof phone case, and a popsocket for the phone. So excited! It will take a month or so for all the items to arrive, but it will be worth it. I cannot wait! Aside from that, I also ordered some new planner stickers, cactus paperclips, a couple movies on DVD/Blu-ray, travel towels, eye mask, ear plugs, a combination lock, luggage tags, a selfie stick, and a new book. As you can tell, most of those items are for traveling. I'm trying to get everything I need now before May comes (when I travel to Hawaii). All I will need to buy close to May will be clothing/swim gear! I'm putting that stuff off, because I am hoping to lose some weight first.

Ahhh, its been a month since I last blogged! Lots has happened since then. The most exciting of which is; I got back into school for January! I have just one semester left until I graduate, so I will only be in school for four months. Yay! I am in the process of applying for student loans and updating training required for my course. So... I've been super busy. Also, the holidays are coming up, which just adds to my busyness.

So, my birthday and Christmas are only one week apart, which means I get a lot of gifts in a short period of time. I get a lot less now that I'm adult though. I don't really mind that, but this year... I decided to buy myself some gifts. I don't have kids, I don't have debt and I have a decent savings account, so why not splurge a little? I definitely didn't put a large dent in my savings, but I did manage to purchase a lot of super cute stuff!

Not pictured: pack of 3 screen protectors and a flip stand case for the tablet. I'm definitely excited mostly for the tablet! Including the accessories I got for it, shipping and taxes, it was just $90! Thanks to Black Friday sales! Wooo! My current tablet is three years old and basically useless now. I only paid $100 for it when I got it, so I didn't expect high quality. It was also made by a brand that I never heard of. My new tablet is made by Amazon and has good reviews, so my hopes are higher! I basically just use my tablet for Netflix, listening to music, reading articles and browsing Facebook when I'm traveling (which I do a couple times a month). So I didn't need anything fancy at all. Like I said, my old shitty tablet lasted three years because I only used it a few times a month.

I'm definitely cut off now from buying any more stuff. I'm spoiling myself this year, which I definitely deserve after all my hard work, but I don't wanna go broke, haha! Sadly, though, Canada Post is on strike, so I won't see half of my stuff until after the holidays. At least half has arrived already! Also, I ordered the tablet to the store, so there won't be any delays. I just have to go pick it up. Waiting is going to suck!

I also got amazing news! Gardein brought a bunch of products back to Canada! Including my favorite products; chick'n sliders and beefless tips! So obviously I had to buy a bag of each! I also noticed that my favorite vegetarian brand Amy's has way more products available at my grocery store! Its so exciting that vegetarian products are in much higher demand!

♪♫ Hold Me Tight or Don't - Fall Out Boy

Its been over a month since my last blog, so this blog will be quite lengthy. I'm doing bullet points again, because it makes things easier. Also, its not in any particular order...

• Went on my vacation to Saint John and Saint Stephen. I spent three days in Saint John and a week in Saint Stephen. It was a great time! I didn't really see anyone I know, aside from my bestie BJ, but it was nice to have a solo vacation and do things on my own. I got to eat out a lot (including at Saint John's new/only vegetarian restaurant), go shopping (only bought a backpack, earrings and the first 8 Friday the 13th movies on DVD), go to all my old favorite spots (like the pizza place around the corner from where I used to live), went to the museum, walked along the boardwalk, got a picture of my favorite Lynchian spot and more!


• Saint Stephen was an even better time! I got to see my best friend for a whole week! We had drinks, went on adventures, watched movies, gossiped, celebrated Canada Day and more! Also, I seen and held a firefly for the first time! It was so cool! Then a couple days later, we found a field filled with them. It was so magical!


• On the last day of my vacation (on the morning I was getting ready to leave), my phone completely died. I was on Instagram, the battery was on 100% and it just went black. I tried charging it and resetting it, but it didn't work. Ugh. So I had to buy a new phone! I ordered the Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime, a case and screen protectors. It cost a little over $200. Not too bad! It arrived a week later and I'm in love with it! I also got all the new emojis, including the bat (which my goth soul is very happy about).
• I have been re-watching all the seasons of The X-Files lately. I just finished last week!


• I got David Lynch's new book! I've read half of it so far. Its even better than I hoped for. David and I are kindred spirits.


• My mother has tried stalking me. She added me to all my social media accounts using an alias and I blocked her. Its been quite stressful, but she seems to have stopped for now.
• I have been doing more walking lately. My favorite walk so far was with my grandmother, cousin and the dog. We got some beautiful pictures!


• My diet is back on track now. It was a struggle at first after my vacation. I bought some meal prep containers which have been really helpful! Also, my doctor weighed me and I'm 195lbs still. So either I didn't gain any weight from vacation or my scale at home is a bit off. Either way, I'm happy!


• While staying with my best friend, I noticed that she had a cute cactus cup that she bought at Walmart. So I ordered one for myself! Shipping was free because I got it sent to the post office, which I'm thrilled about. Its so cute!


• My boyfriend surprised me by telling me that he booked us a room in a place called The Train Station Inn. Its a bunch of old train carts that have been turned into rooms for people to stay in. Its actually very fancy and has a high rating online. They even have a restaurant and gift shop in the old train station building!
• My boyfriend is obsessed with the video game franchise called Metroid. He owns every single game and lots of collectible pieces too. So, for my anniversary gift to him, I bought a Metroid wallet! I'm planning on adding one or two more items since it was only $10. I know hes going to love it!


• When I got back from my vacation, my boyfriend surprised me with chocolate, DVDs and flowers! I was blown away! He is so sweet and romantic... sometimes I can't believe my luck that I have such a wonderful man.


• I got to visit my kitty! I was so happy!


• I got a cute new bookmark thanks to my grandmother.


• My dad got me two free VHS tapes from a neighbor that was throwing them away.


• I tried the new beyond meat burger from A&W and it was amazing! I've had a couple more since then. I'm so thrilled that they have two burgers for vegetarians!


• My boyfriend and I went to the beach. Hardly anyone was there, so we practically had the whole place to ourselves. It was lovely.

Wow... its been like two months since I last blogged! School really consumed my life! I didn't just have a ton of work to do, I also worked at my school's march break camp for kids and then went on placement, then a week of training, and now I am halfway through my second placement. I feel like I have been nonstop working! Speaking of working, I got a summer job at the local youth center! I have done volunteering there before, so I am familiar with it. Its basically a place for youth to drop in anytime its open and hangout in a safe environment. Pretty awesome, eh?!

So much has happened since I last wrote a blog (aside from everything I just mentioned). I will list everything in bullet points, in no particular order...

I ordered three more kimonos online and bought another one at the mall. Now I have five all together to get me through the summer!

I completed my driving classes and am now on my sixth driving lesson! I'm still pretty nervous behind the wheel though.

I bought some pretty awesome stuff both online and in person! Most of this stuff was super cheap. I know it looks like I'm rich or something, haha. I promise you that I'm a broke college student! I'm just good at finding deals! For example, the owl candle holder was $4, the rainbow sun towel was $5, the dream catcher bracelets were only like a little over a dollar each, the "not all who wander are lost" shirt was $12 and the "the lonely mountain" shirt was actually free. I love finding good deals, haha!

I made and ate lots of yummy vegan food! Which reminds me... I really want to be vegan again! I went from vegan to vegetarian last year because I felt like it was easier when I went out to restaurants, was at someone's house or was at an event. However... I know that veganism is better for me and I need to get back to it! My health was never better than when I was vegan! That and my love for animals is my motivation. I think I will spend the summer transitioning back to being vegan!

I got a new phone! Its an LG K4 2017. It may look fancy, but its just a prepaid phone. I paid like $150 all together with taxes. I also bought a cute dream catcher case and a screen protector on Ebay for super cheap! My old phone was acting up and giving me trouble, so I decided that it was time for a new phone.

Since I am a horror movie addict, I paid approximately $50 for a one year membership to Shudder, which is like Netflix for just horror movies! It has a pretty decent selection too!

I had to move to a different town last month to do my first placement. It was a really awesome experience! I stayed in a bed and breakfast, which was owned by a nice British couple. I got the biggest room they had, which had a sun room attached to it and a kitchenette so that I could make my own food! It was so lovely! Also... my placement was wonderful. My last day was so sad! The children asked me to stay and I had to tell them that I couldn't. It was heartbreaking. They even gave me some handmade parting gifts!

I got hooked on Riverdale. I didn't expect to love it as much as I do! I typically don't watch teen shows, but this one really pulled me in!

Randomly spotted this snake in the parking lot of the bus station. I named him Joe. I hope he is doing well.

I'm still waiting on these things to arrive in the mail. I used coupons for everything, so I paid about $70 including shipping. The first four things are from an artist that I have been following for a while. I have admired her work, but I never seemed to have enough money to purchase anything from her. She recently announced that her shop will be closing because of her health and she posted a discount code, so I took the opportunity to purchase all the things that I liked from her shop. The rest of the stuff is from Chapters. I got $10 off from my rewards card and two of the items were already discounted, so it was an awesome deal! I especially like the "dream a little dream" jewelry dish. I always have that song stuck in my head!

Today is the day!!! Twin Peaks season three!!! I am so excited!!! However... I have to wait till tomorrow to watch it because I don't have Showtime. Ahhh!!!

I got my grades back from last semester and not only did I pass everything, I also got really good grades! Hard work pays off!

When I was away for my last placement, the Brisith couple I was staying with happened to be vegetarians and they had a vegetarian potluck! It was awesome! They made this mac 'n cheese dish with faux hamburger and it was sooo good!

That was a lot... I am hoping to keep up with blogging so that I don't have to write giant blogs like this every time I blog. I'm going to try to write another one tomorrow after I watch the first two episodes of Twin Peaks season three! Also... I'm going to spend the rest of my day updating different areas of my blog, updating social networking sites and updating my phone. Lots to do! I am not feeling well (I think I caught a virus), so hopefully I can get it all done!
