august 2024: a month to remember

♪♫ Another Day in Paradise - Phil Collins

This month has been the most amazing month of the past year... and perhaps the past few years. I went on my annual road trip to New Brunswick to visit my best friend for two weeks, but this time, we went on a five day trip to Salem, Massachusetts in the United States. Although Salem was the main destination, we also stopped in Bangor and Augusta, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, we went to Boston for half a day, went to Fall River, Massachusetts to visit the Lizzie Borden House, and we also went to Providence, Rhode Island for half a day. We did a lot in a short period of time and I had so much fun! I did most of the tourist-y things in Salem; went to the Witch House, the Salem Witch Museum, the Halloween Museum, the Witch Board Museum, the International Monster Museum, we ate at a haunted restaurant, we went on a ghost walking tour at night, plus we walked around to explore and went into tons of cute shops! Its such a fun place with spooky vibes. Even though we went in the summer, it still felt like Halloween! We didn't get to do everything though, so we definitely want to go back!

In Rhode Island and New Hampshire we mostly just looked in some shops, drove around a bit and went to restaurants for dinner. We didn't get to do much, but it was cool to see what both places are like. Although I must say driving in Providence was stressful because they have cameras everywhere to enforce then speed limit. Where I live, everyone speeds a bit. It was hard to constantly try not to exceed 30 miles per hour. Speaking of driving, I drove in Boston! I'm proud of myself. It really wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. I explored the city and got to drive in underground tunnels for the first time. I also drove through the Harvard campus and saw the hotel that the Tipton is based on while I was there (from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody). We walked through the mall, then went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. We don't have it in Canada and neither of us has tried it before, so we were super excited! It didn't disappoint. I got stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious, then the cheesecake... oh my goodness... it was divine. I couldn't even eat it all in one sitting. I took it back to the Airbnb to finish. I wish I could have done more in Boston, but my friend only lives a five hour drive away and we are already discussing maybe doing another little trip there for our birthdays (our birthdays are only eleven days apart).

Another weird thing I feel compelled to mention is how many wild rabbits I saw in Massachusetts. It was so strange. In Salem, we saw a rabbit on the doorstep of the Airbnb when we walked up, then it hopped away. It felt like some sort of supernatural experience, haha. Then we saw a bunch in the middle of downtown Boston! I've seen rabbits where I live, but only near the woods. Never in the middle of the city. It was so weird!

Aside from all of that, we also ate some amazing meals. We went to Olive Garden again, which is my favorite US restaurant. I think I've eaten there five or six times now. We also went to Longhorn Steakhouse for the first time and the steak was amazing! It reminded me of a steakhouse that used to be where I live. It was a popular spot for decades and very nostalgic, but sadly they closed. Anyways, we also ate at a place called The Ugly Mug Diner in Salem, which I highly recommend. We had to wait for a seat because it was so busy! I got steak and eggs, and wow... perfection. The other meal that was memorable was from the haunted restaurant we went to, called Rockafellas. I got a hummus platter with veggie and pita bread, and my best friend got mini pulled pork sliders. We shared our meals with each other and it was amazing. I regret not taking a picture of it.

here are my photos from the trip

The highlight of the trip, for me, was the Lizzie Borden house. The tour was thorough and definitely worth the money. The house has super creepy vibes and while in the attic I started to feel faint (but I hadn't told anyone or shown signs of it), and the tour guide told us that folks often get faint in the attic and they believe its related to a spirit. Freaked me out a little! Also, they took us to the basement where years prior they had someone spray luminol on the floor boards just under where the father was murdered, and there were still small specs of blood! Next door to the house is an old home that used to belong to relatives of the Borden family, which is now a Lizzie Borden themed coffee shop. We went in and got some delicious iced coffee, haha. Before I forget the coolest part of this experience: we ended up in the newspaper! Someone had vandalized a traffic sign across from the Lizzie Borden house the night prior to make it look like Lizzie Borden with an axe, and as we walked past it, a man took our picture. He then approached us and said he worked for the newspaper and that we would be in it! I checked a couple days later and he was telling the truth! Sadly I only have a screenshot of their web version of the article. Its not a flattering photo of me, so I'm not gonna post it on here, but its cool I ended up in the newspaper anyways!

Here is what I got for souvenirs. First of all, I got a postcard from each place I went to. I collect postcards from trips because they're cheap and don't take up much space. I saved some brochures and tickets from places we went. The Halloween Museum didn't have a ticket or brochure, but I saved the 3D glasses they gave me. I also saved the bag from the cheesecake factory... don't laugh at me! Haha! For larger items, I got a vintage pumpkin pail and a vintage Halloween treat bag from an antique shop/thrift store called Jerry's Department Store. I highly recommend if you love vintage Halloween! I got a Salem shirt, a Salem key chain, and a pencil (impulse purchase because it was only 30 cents). Finally, in Providence, I ended up buying a magnet because the artwork was really cool. Overall, I didn't overspend and didn't buy too much stuff. Most of these items are going into my travel memories box (aside from the vintage Halloween items, shirt, keychain, and pencil). I also turned my vacation pictures into poloraids and they'll be going in the box as well. Just waiting for the photo centre to finish printing them.

On the way back, we stopped in Bangor, Maine, and I went to Target since its my favorite store in the US. I bought a Tree Hut body scrub, a pumpkin candle, and a thin yellow comforter to put on my bed during summer (I searched everywhere in my city but couldn't find a thin yellow one).

When we got back to New Brunswick, the fun didn't end! Unfortunately there was an issue with the power at her house. She just moved in and they connected it to the wrong house. Since we returned on a Friday, we had to wait until Monday for them to fix it. We ended up going across the border to Calais, Maine to stay in a hotel for two nights. During that time, it just so happened to be the International Festival. Its an annual event to celebrate the friendship between the border town of St. Stephen, New Brunswick and Calais, Maine. It involved a parade, an outdoor market, a beer garden, and fireworks! We only participated in browsing the outdoor market and going to the fireworks, but it was fun! I also went to Walmart in Calais for even more items; two more Tree Hut scrubs, Bodycology Hawaiian Beach body wash, Body Fantasies Cotton Candy spray, celestial flared leggings, an orange sweater, and a couple treats. After the power situation was resolved, we did a lot more fun stuff; went to a vintage car show, went swimming (I learned what a dock spider is & they're terrifyingly big!), had a campfire & made s'mores, went for ice cream, went thrifting/antiquing, and my favorite part: saw the Northern Lights! It was more faint to the naked eye than what the camera picked up, but it was still super cool! I hope to see them much more vibrant someday.

I didn't want my trip to end, but sadly it had to. Since I returned, I have been mostly working, cleaning/organizing my room, and getting ready for school. However... I did go to a concert for the first time in several years; Platinum Blonde & Billy Idol! I went with my dad and we had an awesome time! He was more excited for Platinum Blonde since he went to see them when he was younger and it was nostalgic. I was more excited for Billy Idol. He really puts on a good show. I was so happy that he played Eyes Without a Face and Hot in the City, since those are my favorite songs of his.

Oh, I nearly forgot... my thrifting finds! I already covered the first two items, so I'll move onto the third one; a '90s colbalt celestial candle holder ($2.99). I have wanted one for a long time, so I was thrilled to find this in Providence, Rhode Island! I hope to come across the sun and star versions someday to complete the set. The fourth item is a set of three Merry Mushroom cansiters ($50 total)! I was blown away that I found these for so cheap and that they were in excellent condition. They are hard to find, and typically one canister is sold for $50. This set would be $150-$200 online. I have wanted a set of three for so long. I have two of the Canadian version canisters, but this is the American version and I think its much cuter. The fifth item is a cute mid century modern set of plastic canisters for flour and coffee ($3). It was so cheap, in decent condition, and I thought they were cute, so they came home with me! Final item is a '90s celestial shower curtain ($6.99). I thrifted the matching window curtains a while back, so now my future home will have a celestial themed bathroom! Now I'll be on the hunt for '90s celestial bathroom items (trash can, soap dispenser, soap dish, etc).

This may be the longest blog I've ever written, haha. I guess I'll wrap it up now. I have to get back to cleaning anyways. I'll leave you with a fall-themed edit of the picture of me in front of the Witch House in Salem. I hope everyone is enjoying the end of summer!

we have peace in our lives

♪♫ I See A Darkness - Johnny Cash

Once again, I've got lots to blog about. This vacation is amazing and I never wanna leave! On Monday, my grandmother gave me some stuff she ordered from Avon. It was a nice little surprise. We waited around, I watched the new episode of True Blood, we had chili for supper, then my grandmother and I went to the mall. I bought six tops. The Star Wars one is for my boyfriend...although I'm very tempted to wear it myself. I spent almost all my money, but it was worth it. I spent my evening watching Doctor Who and eating the rest of my red velvet cake ice cream. Quite wonderful! ^_^

Tuesday was a somewhat anxious day for me. From the time I woke up until dinner, I was drinking my daily smoothie, working out and tanning. I actually don't feel like a whale when I wear shorts now. I've lost weight already and it hasn't even been a week since I started my healthier lifestyle. I'm pretty amazed. So anyways, I had chili for dinner again (and apparently we are having it again next week - its so fucking good), then I went to my tattoo consolation appointment. He said its gonna be $75 and take less than an hour. Better than I expected. So I have an appointment for tomorrow at 6:00 pm to get my first tattoo. I also have an appointment at the same place to get my hair done on Saturday (its a spa type place). I'm really nervous! We were gonna go swimming after the appointment, but my grandmother didn't wanna go in the lake with me, so I decided not to. Swimming alone isn't as fun. Plus there was a lot of people on the beach.

We went home and my cousin wanted to go to Tim Horton's, so we all went (including the dog). I didn't get anything because they don't have much for healthy food. But we went to the grocery store afterwards and I bought myself one cookie at the deli for a treat. It was Pretty Little Liars night, so I made myself a sandwich, nachos with cheese, got a glass of chocolate milk and ate my deli cookie. It was wonderful. I ended up watching My Super Psycho Sweet 16 afterwards. It was kinda interesting. Not the best movie ever. I don't recall what I did after that. I think I may have watched Doctor Who until I fell asleep.

Yesterday was mostly boring. I woke up late in the afternoon and made supper for everyone. It was just mac 'n cheese and chicken caesar salad, but it was pretty great. I did the dishes, then went to the dollar store with my cousin. I bought a card for my grandfather's birthday (which was on the 17th - I'm a little late), a card for my grandmother (to let her know I appreciate her), a chocolate bar for my grandmother and two sets of nail stickers for myself. I'm gonna wait till next week to use them. When I got home, I did my workout, then watched Doctor Who in bed. I finally finished all the episodes and now I'm just dying to see the new episodes. But of course I have to wait until November...ugh. But at least I got a pretty awesome picture of myself before falling asleep. Its my new favorite picture of myself. :D

Today was pretty great. I woke up late and had to get ready fast, because my dad was on his way over. I threw on a Queen shirt, jeans, my Evenstar necklace, put my hair up and didn't bother with makeup. He arrived not long after that and he gave me a present; a wooden crow, which I've named Carl The II. He is pretty cool. For a while we just watched videos on YouTube, then we made homemade pizzas. We each got our own to make ourselves and mine was piled with deliciousness. While waiting for the pizzas to cook, my dad, my grandmother and I went outside and sat on the patio for a little while, listening to music and talking. Once the pizza was ready, I took my time eating it because it was so amazing. I wish I had more right now. We went back to YouTube videos after that, then my grandmother drove my dad home. We had to cross the bridge, which costs a dollar, but we didn't have enough for the way back, so we went into the antique store across from my dad's apartment building and I bought Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban for five dollars to get some change. Its really lucky, because that happens to be the only Harry Potter book I was missing from the series. So now I have them all! On my way out, the guy working there pointed out my Evenstar necklace and said it was awesome, then showed me his Lord of the Rings tattoo. It was a great fan bonding moment. That dude was great.

We stopped by the grocery store on our way home, so my grandmother could check her lottery tickets and we could get some bananas. We went for a walk with the dog after we got home. I don't really have any plans for the rest of the evening. I know that I need to do my workout before I go to bed. That is pretty much it.

this is how an angel dies

♪♫ Sail - Awolnation

This blog is gonna be long, because I've been so busy all week. I'm going on vacation tomorrow and I'm waking up at 5:15 am, so I'm rushing to get everything done. Before I start this blog...I found my first grey hair after my last blog. I'm so devastated. I feel sooo old. Ugh. :(

I will start with last Friday. I made plans with Kat, but she said she couldn't make it to pick me up until around 5:00 pm. And she invited my ex-boyfriend, who I haven't seen in years. So I had to hangout with him for a while. It was really awkward and he is still the same asshole he was before. Nothing has changed. I was so glad when Kat showed up, along with Adam, Paul and Jen. She told me we were going swimming, which I didn't want to do at first, but I got talked into it.

We went on a mini road trip to Hammond River. Stopped at a gas station halfway there to get some drinks and have a cigarette. It was wayyy too hot outside. When we finally got there, I waited for everyone to go down to the river, then I got changed in the car. The water was cold at first, but then it was so refreshing. There was a strong current and we kept floating down the river. Jen and I were holding hands and trying to push against the current, which resulted in lots of laughter. I found a necklace charm that said "Madrid" on it and I was like "what kind of fucking name is that!?" and my ex-boyfriend said "its a place" and called me retarded (he was super lame the whole time - he just stood on the shore, playing games on his phone). He wanted to leave, so we all got in the car and Kat dropped him off uptown.

We were all hungry, so we went to McDonald's. I got a junior chicken and Fruitopia. I hardly ever eat at McDonald's, but whatever. It was a one time sorta thing. I was so glad my ex-boyfriend wasn't there. He was being so lame all day. -_-

We decided to go swimming again after McDonald's. It was a place called Silver Falls and it was beautiful. Its a hidden place and very hard to get to. It requires a lot of steep hills and rocks. Jen was too scared to go with us, so she walked around the field nearby. Kat, Adam and Paul jumped off the cliff into the water the entire time. I'm terrified of heights, so I just swam by myself. The water was so warm and bubbly. I felt like it was a giant bath.

We decided to leave when it started getting dark and I got dropped off at my house. I had six bug bites, my feet were muddy and I was soaked, but it was sooo worth it. I had an amazing time and I wanna go swimming everyday this summer. Anyways, after supper I got some chili and nachos and watched horror movies (although all I can remember is Repulsion). ^_^

On Saturday, my boyfriend and I went to the mall near my house for dinner. Chicken poutine, once again. Getting really sick of poutine now (shocker!). Then we got a bus to the mall across town. I ended up buying some really great stuff: three pairs of sexy panties (they were on sale, yay!) and a mini ray gun key chain that lights up and has sound effects. My boyfriend bought me cotton candy lip balm and bacon lip balm (which turned out to be gross). My boyfriend got Coke lip balm for himself. I really wanna get a Reese Cup flavored one. I had one before, but I lost it. :(

We went to the movies around 9:00 pm to see World War Z. I really loved it. Its my top three favorite zombie movies. I think Night of the Living Dead is number one and Shaun of the Dead is number two. And I got one of those super amazing orange slushies too. I wish I could get them somewhere close to where I live. They're heavenly. :D

On Sunday, I was on a war path. Sometimes things really annoy me and I feel the need to state my opinion. This usually leads to a fight. The topic was feminism and I'm against it. I don't think women are less than men. I don't think they're better. I think everyone is equal and I believe in egalitarianism. I believe feminism is an outdated concept, which helped women get their rights, but since we have them, it should just be human rights now. Both genders should fight together for the same cause, instead of dividing people and making men look like a bunch of evil rapists. Not all feminists are like that, I know. But most are. Its gotten a bad name now. But apparently people are more stupid than I thought, because I got called an MRA and a misogynist and even got accused of being a man pretending to be a woman. What the hell is wrong with this world!?

I also finally got around to watching National Lampoon's Gold Diggers, which wasn't very good. But I stuck through it for Will Friedle. At one point I had to pause it to do something and I looked at the screen and burst out laughing, because it paused while Will was making a hilarious face. I find very weird things to be amusing. :3

Monday was a fun day. It didn't start out that way though. I had to go to the bus station to get my bus ticket and it took so long to get there. It was really hot outside and I had to walk part of the way there. But I managed to talk my way into a student discount to save twenty dollars, which I'm happy about. I had plans with Garnet after that, but he wasn't answering my texts. I got to his house and sure enough, he was passed out. And he was in Timmy's room...which was confusing. But apparently they switched apartments. I love the new set up. Two couches, a chair and a bed for people to sit on. Perfect for partying.

So I helped Garnet and Timmy out with a moving a bit. Timmy was taking his posters down and putting them on the bed and I noticed that one of them had a hole in it and then I looked at the wall and there was two holes through the wall. So I asked about it and apparently Ron (an idiot that is now in jail for robbing a house) shot off a gun when he was drunk and it went through the Scarface poster, which caused it to set on fire. So Timmy ripped it down and stomped it out. And decided to keep the poster for the memory of that fucked up night. So glad Ron is in jail to be honest. He was sketchy.

Paul showed up a little while later, drinking some beer. I tried a blueberry beer. I never had it before and it was good (it was just a little sip). Can't remember the brand though. Garnet had to leave to pick up groceries, so he told me and Paul to watch the house. We mainly talked, then we went into the backroom where the punching bag is and Paul taught me a bit about boxing. There was one pair of boxing gloves, so we shared them. I learned how to punch properly. So I decided that I wanna take a kickboxing class and get a gym membership. So I can kick ass and look good, haha. ;D

Over the course of the night a lot of people showed up: Kat, Jen, Matt, Alicia, Doug and my boyfriend. Everyone else was drinking besides me and my boyfriend. We listened to some awesome music, including Throw It On The Ground by The Lonely Island, which is too funny. And our summer song; Sail by Awolnation. Around 1:00 am, Kat, Paul, my boyfriend and I got a taxi to Adam's work (pizza place). My boyfriend got garlic fingers for all of us and we sat outside to eat them. Paul was helping some pregnant woman try and start her car. It took a while, but someone came and gave her a boost eventually. Kat, Adam and Paul went to Kat's house and my boyfriend and I went uptown. I can't even really recall what we did uptown. I vaguely remember a homeless man asking for money. He tried telling us he needed money to get into the homeless shelter. But it was 3:00 am (the homeless shelter closes at 11:00 pm) and its free. He tried though.

My boyfriend came to see me on Tuesday. I barely remember what we did. I think we looked through old pictures. I do remember that I got Subway and watched the new episodes of Pretty Little Liars and True Blood. And I watched the Twin Peaks inspired episode of Psych. I actually might watch that show from the start. It seems pretty great. I loved it.

Wednesday was amazing. My boyfriend and I planned a double date with Kat and Adam. We were all supposed to meet at the mall at 4:30 pm, but Kat and Adam were late, so my boyfriend and I looked around. I ended up buying a Pink Floyd shirt. I've wanted one for so long. So happy! Anyways, we all met up finally and went to one of my favorite restaurants. It was a pretty amazing date. We had some odd conversations. Adam was the only one who ordered desert. The guys both got beer. Afterwards, we decided to go to a local indoor swimming pool. So we had to stop at my boyfriend's house and my house to get what we needed. It ended up being cheaper than we thought and we swam for two hours or more. It was so much fun. Kat and Adam were just trying to drown each other most of the time (not seriously, just joking around). Kat and I played hide 'n seek without telling the guys. My boyfriend kept trying to throw me into the air.

Kat and Adam decided to leave to get drunk, so my boyfriend and I went to SJ Idol. We seen a few people there. One person I really didn't want to talk to. She is beyond annoying. My boyfriend's ex-girlfriend too. But whatever. I seen people I haven't seen in a long time, which was nice. The music was horrible though. This year's Idol is bad. We left after it ended and walked around until we found some steps to sit on. I told him I was still really frustrated. Warning: sexual content ahead...we still hadn't done anything and he wasn't improving a whole lot. We both went home early because we were so exhausted and I fell asleep watching From Dusk Till Dawn.

Yesterday was my favorite day so far. It was the last day I could spend with my boyfriend, so I got all dressed up. We had to go to the grocery store to grab a few things (food for my trip mostly). I tried to get more pills, because I'm gonna run out before my vacation ends. But apparently I can't get any until my pills run out. So I hope I can refill them in Halifax. Otherwise I'm gonna call my doctor and yell. He is really frustrating. -_-

We were gonna go out for dinner, but we ran into our friend Collin who we haven't seen in a long time. We talked for half an hour and made some plans to party with him soon. I can't drink, but I'll go anyways. Should be a good time. Finally we started walking to find a place to eat. I was starving. We went to Rocky's, which is pretty much my new favorite place to eat. Their food is amazing, plus its a bar. I ended up ordering one drink. Just a vodka cooler, but I got it in a wine glass so I could feel classy (its just one drink, no big deal). :P

After the meal, we ran into more people. Chelsea, DJ and Tyler. All of them were high on speed. And hilarious as hell. Chelsea said "nipples are the eyes of the chest and eyes are the nipples of the face". That was my favorite thing anyone said. We decided to leave at 12:00 am and head to my house, so they walked us part way there. There was some weird touching and a lot of hugs. I love high people, haha. Anyways, so we got to my house and spent a little while listening to music and reading a Chuck Norris vs Mr T fact book. My favorite one was "if you play Led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven backwards, you'll hear Chuck Norris banging your sister". My evening got really intense after that. Warning: sexual content ahead...we finally went further. We both went down on each other and it was amazing. Now we're wondering why we didn't do that sooner. Its not like we're virgins. We have experience. We just got so nervous with each other. But now the nervousness is gone. It wasn't awkward at all. And I felt like we were closer than ever. We spent an hour outside afterwards, just smoking and talking until he got a taxi home.

Today has been stress on top of stress. I've been packing, shopping and cleaning all day. I got everything done, all I have to do now is have a shower, have a snack and take some melatonin so I can pass out. I have to wake up at 5:30 am, so I can leave around 6:15 am to catch my bus at 7:00 am. I usually sleep the entire time I'm on the bus, because I take Gravol (I get bad motion sickness) and it makes me really drowsy. So I only packed water and Reese's Pieces for a snack. And I have my Playbook for entertainment. I'm gonna arrive sometime around 1:30 pm. I'm so excited! ^_^

P.S. I decided to get the first one for my tattoo (from my last blog)!

♪♫ I Wish - Owen, Katie, Hayden and April-Lynn

Saturday was a really shitty day. My boyfriend was supposed to come over after work and help me get groceries before we went out for dinner with his dad (late Father's Day dinner). Getting groceries wasn't bad. I spent $55, which was only $5 more than I intended to spend. I got enough for three weeks. Nothing healthy, but I'm poor right now, so Kraft Dinner, ravioli and peanut butter sandwiches will have to do. Anyways, when we were almost done shopping, his dad called and was super pissed because apparently he had reservations and we weren't there. He never mentioned the reservations before. We thought we had some time to get everything done. But he is the type of guy who thinks he is never wrong and things always have to be his way.

He told us not to bother coming to dinner and my boyfriend was upset. I was really pissed off. We took all my groceries to my house to put them away and the entire time, my boyfriend looked really angry. He didn't talk at all. He just sat there. I offered him a sub for dinner and some cookies, but he said he wasn't hungry. He started to cheer up after a little while. Probably due to playing Mario and me making him laugh. After he left, he texted me and told me that he made up with his dad. But I still don't like his dad at all.

On Sunday, I made this new layout. Its Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison from the movie The Doors. I'm not sure if I like it. But besides that, I spent Sunday just watching movies and making layouts. I made probably about ten layouts for future use. I'm tempted to change it right now actually. I was actually supposed to go swimming on Sunday, but my friends cancelled. I was kinda pissed, because they went to the beach without me. Apparently there was no room left in the car.

On Monday I waited around for a while, because I had plans with Kat, but I wasn't sure when she was gonna pick me up. I ended up seeing a music video posted on Facebook made by some of the kids who live around my neighborhood. Its not my kind of music, but its really well done. They even wrote the lyrics themselves! I'm quite impressed. They're even playing it on the radio now. I'll post the video below if you wanna watch it. Anyways, so Kat finally picked me up in the late afternoon. We went to McDonald's quickly because Paul was hungry and I ended up buying a drink (apparently its only one dollar for any size pop all summer). Then we stopped by Adam's work to see him for a few minutes. I ran to the smoke shop and got a pack, which I regret (I'm trying to quit). Paul quit smoking and was bitchin' at me and Kat all day about us smoking. Then we watched the new episodes of True Blood and Paul kept making jokes the entire time. I think he needs to stop watching porn, because he was expecting everyone to have sex. But it was a good day. I went home and relaxed for the rest of the evening.

The music video!
Like I said, it was made by kids in my neighborhood and its really well done!

Tuesday was dreadfully boring. I had an appointment early in the morning with my psychiatrist and he gave me another prescription to last till after I get back from my vacation. Then I briefly seen my therapist and she told me that my chances are really good for getting permanent disability, but I have to wait another month or two to find out. I really wanna dye my hair blue, so I'm anxious (pictures below). I'm also really nervous about saving up $4000 for my apartment. So if you wanna donate any money, that would be awesome. Even a few dollars. I'm buying a lot of stuff at the dollar store (dishes, towels, cleaning products, etc). So I'll put a donate button below in this blog and below on the page. The only other somewhat interesting things that happened was my mom ordering pizza for us and taking pictures on my webcam (only one picture turned out good though).

Would David Lynch be proud?
I get weird at night sometimes...

Any amount of money will help!
I'll be so very thankful. ^_^

Blue hair inspiration
I'm also really inspired by the makeup in the bottom pictures. :3

Yesterday was a crazy day. It was the beginning of our city's version of American Idol. It happens on the stage near the boardwalk and all the young people are always there, usually drunk and/or high. Sometimes there is a fight or two. Always really loud and crazy. My boyfriend and I waited for over three hours for it to start. We showed up too early, hoping to see some friends and we only found a few people. We sat on the picnic benches and talked to pass the time. Finally people started showing up and we had to walk around to several groups of people that we knew. I only seen one person that I hate. She looked horrible, which made me feel good. She reminds me of Mimi from The Drew Carey Show. Also, one of my friends auditioned for idol and she was amazing, but she didn't make it through. It made me so mad. I think its because she did a country song and anyone else who did a song that wasn't a shitty pop song was booted out. So many unique voices, but they pick the ones that sound like every other voice on the radio. I was pissed.

My boyfriend and I left before it ended and went for a long walk. We ended up by the hospital and sat down for a talk. I ended up telling him some things that I've never told anyone and I was so scared he was gonna look at me different, but he didn't. He was so understanding and it made me feel better. Then I explained a little bit about why I avoid people (abuse, bullying, abandonment, etc). We grabbed some food, then headed to my house and spent some more time together. I started feeling really nauseous though, so he had to go home. And not even a minute after he left, I got really sick. I barely made it to the bathroom. It was awful.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do today. I really do need to clean my room though, so I might do that. And I really wanna get some Subway for dinner. I still got that old Subway card with $10 on it. That means I can get two more six inch subs. ^_^

our work is never over

♪♫ Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger - Daft Punk

I'm really drunk right now and its my first time writing a blog while drunk. I haven't been drunk in a long time. But I'm loving it right now. I'm a wild girl and I will always be. Its who I am. Set a drink in front of me and I will drink it. I straightened my hair for the first time in a long time, which was pointless because my hair got so fucked up by the end of the day. Anyways, I went to Megan's yesterday afternoon and she made a bunch of awesome food. The only thing I ate was Tostitos and dip. Plus a glass of Pepsi. It was amazing. Then I we chilled for a bit and Kat came to pick me up for a night of fun.

We went to the liquor store and I decided to get some liquor for the first time in a long time. Then we drove to the beach and had a bonfire. I was drunk as fuck by the end of it. Kat, Missy, Frans, Adam, Paul and Greg were there. Then we drove to the bunkers and found Vanessa. So we brought her along with us to Paul's apartment. It was amazing. I got even more hammered and we listened to awesome music and me and Kat became best friends again. I'm so glad I got her back after what happened a couple years ago. I fucked up so bad and I felt like shit. But we made up and I'm so glad. After Curry showed up, him and Paul decided to crash, so we had leave.

Kat, Vanessa and I had so many girl talks on the deck while smoking cigarettes. I missed having girl talks. I hardly have any friends that are girls. But Kat said she missed being best friends with me and I missed her too. She was one of the greatest best friends I've ever had. We made plans to go swimming on Sunday and we're gonna watch True Blood on Monday. We had such great talks and I just can't fully express my happiness about it. She is so great. I'm glad we cut that douchebag out of our lives and started fresh. We deserve better than him. He ruined our friendship and hurt us both. Fuck that asshole.

Before going home, Frans drove us to McDonald's and we got some awesome munchies. I got a Oreo McFlurry, which I haven't had in a long time. Then before we left, Adam told the lady working at McDonald's to "Have a McWonderful day" and it was hilarious. I told them all that I loved them and missed them before they dropped me off at my house. I'm beyond happy that I got this second chance to be Kat's best friend. And I'm beyond happy that I get to hangout with other people that I adore that stopped talking to me years ago. I got my friends back and that fucking idiot lost all his friends. I fucking win. Fuck him and all his drama. I'm glad my feelings went away for him. I deserve a ton better and I got someone who is amazing as fuck.

Basically I've had an amazing night. Plus my grandmother and grandfather gave me forty dollars (which is how I could afford liquor) and my mom gave me twenty dollars (which I'm using for swimming on Sunday). Oh and my mom bought me banana marshmallows! I didn't even ask her. But somehow she remembered my favorite candy. Fucking miracle, eh!? I get to see my sexy man tomorrow. Fuck, I love him so much. I wanna kiss his entire body. Is that too much info? Lmao. ♥

it's all under control

♪♫ Bandages - Hot Hot Heat

I'm a horrible blogger. In my last blog I said I would blog more...then I didn't blog for a month. Anyways...a ton of stuff has happened since I last blogged. I won't list everything, because it would take up way too much time. But if you wanna know, everything is on my Twitter.

Getting a new phone is the best thing that has happened in the past month. Its a Blackberry Touchscreen Curve 9380 and I named her Sylvia. I'm absolutely addicted. My phone plan is now $35 instead of $20. But paying an extra $15 is sooo worth it. The only sucky thing about it is the fact I have no internet (I can only use Facebook, Twitter, Msn & Blackberry messenger). Apparently there is no internet plan with prepaid. And I refuse to get a contract just for internet. But yeah...I love it. I also got a cute cover for Sylvia. I named him Mr. Fuzzy. :)

I finally found and bought the sun charm that I've wanted for a year. Its real silver and cost me $30, but it was worth it. I wear it everyday! I also got a lot of other new stuff. I can't remember most of it (if I looked back on Twitter, I'd know...but I'm too lazy). Some of things I can remember are; a new bag, a new wallet, a bracelet making kit, a new bed set, new pillows, a new night stand and more. ^_^

Lately I've been planning my yearly trip to Halifax. I'm not going till July, but I'm really excited. I'm going to the casino for the first time, going to bars, going shopping, going swimming, going to the movies, visiting my dad, going to restaraunts, going on tours, going to historical buildings, getting a tattoo, dying my hair back to my natural color, eating healthier, exercising and lots more! Its gonna be a great summer. I really need a break from this horrible place...

I've been in a bit of a rut. My self confidence is low and I haven't been getting out as much. But I'm working on it. I think its because I'm single. I know that I don't need a man to complete me, but its nice to have someone to kiss and cuddle. I'm gonna try to not think about it. I'm just gonna have a good summer, work on myself and it'll happen at some point. :D

P.S. I've also gotten very inspired lately to start writing again. I'm gonna start working on a new story about a troubled young woman (based her personality on mine) and a troubled young man (I picture him as Christopher Masterson, my new husband ). I can't wait! :3

♪♫ Ghouls Night Out - Misfits

Happy birthday to Jared Padalecki!
Thats right. Today is my future husband's birthday. Have a good one Jarebear! ♥

I've had an awful morning so far. I got into a huge pointless fight with Robyn and now we're not speaking. I feel really bad, but I'm fairly certain she hates me for all of eternity now. At least I get to see Garnet and Kara later on today. They'll cheer me up for sure. Garnet said that we might go swimming and have a bonfire on the beach. It sounds lovely; I just wish it included Led Zeppelin, beer and roasting marshmallows. That sounds so perfect, doesn't it? :)

On Friday, my grandmother is giving me some money. I'm sooo excited because I'm gonna buy some Harry Potter stuff. I'm mostly excited for the Time Turner necklace. I'm gonna be a weirdo nerd and wear it everywhere. I'm also buying Kara a gnome wallet. Its sooo cute and perfect for her. :3

Oh and of course; new blog name! What do ya think? Its weird, I know. Kind of a long story...

♪♫ Houses Of The Holy - Led Zeppelin

Happy Easter! I feel weird saying that, considering I'm not religious and I don't even really celebrate Easter. All I've done all day, is sit in my room, listen to Led Zeppelin and eat junk food. Not even Easter candy...just mac 'n cheese, pizza and chips. But I know that some people out there do celebrate Easter, so I guess I was just being nice. :)

I found out today that I'm leaving on Saturday for vacation. I'm gonna be gone for three weeks, but don't worry: I'll still be blogging and returning comments! Anyways, I'm super excited! I have a ton of plans, which includes: shopping, swimming, restaurants, movies, buying a Led Zeppelin bag and more! I'll be sure to post pictures with my blogs as well. Its gonna be amazing. :D

This week I'm gonna be super busy with: packing, shopping, hanging out at Megan's, etc. I'm especially pumped for going to Megan's. Apparently Sam got back from Montreal today and left a present for me at Megan's. She told me it has something to do with a band she hates that I love. So its either Led Zeppelin (hard to believe that ANYONE could possibly hate the heavenly sound of Zeppelin) or Korn. I can't wait to see what it is. :)

Also, I'm having a hard time picking out what I want for a tattoo. So far I'm torn between these two...

The first one means "Destiny" in Chinese and the second one is the symbols for all the members in Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, John Bonham and Robert Plant). Both have a very significant meaning to me. ♥

despite all my rage

♪♫ Bullet With Butterfly Wings - Smashing Pumpkins

Usually I hate Sundays, due to the fact nothing is open & no buses are running. But this Sunday is different. It all started with the dream I had last night. I can't remember most of it, but I do remember falling in love with a really cute guy named Jesse & kissing him a lot. I love romantic dreams. :3

When I woke up, I still had the lovey-dovey feeling, but it eventually faded into just feeling really happy. So I made myself a healthy breakfast & started cleaning my apartment. I've almost got all the cleaning done, but right now I'm taking a break. My stomach started to hurt earlier, so I'm laying down & taking this chance to write a new blog. :)

On Friday I did something crazy...I went swimming...in the middle of winter. I was just sitting around feeling bored, then Kat texted me & asked me if I wanted to go swimming with her & Missy at a hotel. I decided to take a chance & have some fun, so I agreed. I'm glad I did, because I ended up having a really great time. I even wore a bikini instead of a shirt & shorts (I hate my body).

Yesterday I spent all day watching Angelina Jolie movies & doing my laundry at my mum's house. Oh plus I had some of my mum's awesome chocolate pie with whip cream. Its like crack in food form, I swear. Haha, well anyways, thats pretty much all the interesting stuff that happened lately.

I'm gonna go back to cleaning, then once its over with, I'm gonna attempt to write a short story (I think I may have chronic writer's block). Goodbye!

♫ This Afternoon - Nickelback

Well hello there stranger :), I've decided to get off my lazy ass to write a blog & return comments. Oh & I also changed the layout. But the most important thing is; Happy Birthday Jared Padalecki! ♥ Yes, today is my future husband's birthday. So, have a good one Jared! :) & if you're wondering, that sexy picture you see on the left is Jared. Hes a hottie, eh? Oh yes, I'm obsessed. Speaking of Jared, I had a dream last night that I was in an episode of Supernatural (the show he stars in!). I was Dean (for some odd reason) & we were investigating a case in a small town. A young boy was haunting his old house & scaring his parents. Anyways, I got to drive the Impala & go to a bar! Haha, it was a lot of fun. Best dream ever!

I finally got the diary I wanted! I got it when my grandmother & I went into downtown Halifax last week. I also got stickers, highlighters & a book mark. It was a really fun day. Especially when I got bubble gum & moon mist ice cream (yum!). Then the next day Marty took me to the mall & I bought two sweaters, a hat & hairbands. But wanna know what the best part of the day was? I got to drive a car for the first time! I drove up & down the street, then parked! I can't wait till I get my license!

So yesterday, I was supposed to go to Miller Lake Camp (church camp) & stay overnight. But I ended up changing my mind. Why? Well for two reasons. One; I missed my bed. Two; I had the feeling they didn't like the fact I don't go along with their beliefs. You see, they are Pentecostals & they believe women should have long hair, wear skirts, etc. Thats just not me. I love my pants & I love my short hair. I wont change for anyone!

Earlier today my uncle invited Marty, my grandmother & I to dinner at Steak & Stein (favorite restaurant), so of course I was thrilled to go! We took pictures, talked & ate. It was a really good time! Then after supper we headed to Lawrencetown beach. I walked along the shore looking for colorful rocks & seashells pretty much the whole time. I would have been swimming, but I didn't bring my bathing suit.

Well thats about all I have to talk about. So I'm gonna head upstairs to make a snack. Then I shall relax & watch TV. Bye for now!

♫ Heavens On Fire - Kiss

Well, I have decided to write an actual blog. Let me start by saying; its summer break! No more school! Wooooo! Plus I'm going on vacation at the end of the month. I'm spending my whole summer in Halifax, NS (my hometown) to see family, go shopping, go to concerts, go swimming, etc. I have tons of plans & I can't wait! I'm especially excited about my grandfather teaching me how to drive & paying for my driver's licence. I couldn't thank him enough!

I'm spending all day today organizing my room. I have a lot of things I need to get rid of (mostly clothes). Plus I want to re-arrange the furniture in my room. Every so often I get sick of how my room looks. Anyways, I'm donating everything that I don't want to charity. Someone out there can make good use out of my old stuff.

Sunday is laundry day! Y'know what that means? I get to go to my mum's house & see my kitten! Shes really getting big, which sucks because she was sooo cute when she was tiny. But on the plus side, she is taming down. She no longer wants to kill everything she sees. Although, sometimes it was funny to watch her attack things.

I'm gonna finish organizing & re-arranging so that I can go for a walk to the store. I'm craving a bag of BBQ Doritos. So...goodbye for now! :)
