miss doing nothing the most of all

♪♫ The Greatest - Lana Del Rey

I have three days off from work! Wooo! I had an extremely stressful week, so I'm really glad. I basically just haven't had any time to myself, plus yesterday I worked for 14 hours (by choice) and I had a situation that stressed me out a lot. I was supposed to work tomorrow, but I called in and got someone to cover my shift. I'm so happy I have these three days, because I need it so much right now. Its important that I take care of myself.

Even though work has been a bit overwhelming lately, I did have some exciting things happen! The first being; I bought myself some ultra fine tip markers to decorate my planner, I took myself out for dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant and I went to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood at the movie theatre on Monday! I had it planned out the week before, because I felt like I would need a night of fun outside of my home/work life. I definitely improved my mood! I really enjoyed it, aside from the creepy guy who hit on me while I was eating my dinner... thankfully the waitress allowed me to move to another section in the restaurant, where he couldn't see me. Oh... I also bought a pumpkin scented candle before I headed home for the night. It smells so lovely!

I got my dangly bat earrings and floral scarf in the mail this week! They are both so much more beautiful in person! I'd also like to buy a new pair of ankle boots and a long beige knitted cardigan with pockets. I've been searching, but no luck so far. I'm hoping more will come out in the next month. I definitely feel like I never stop buying fall clothes/accessories, even though I already own so many, haha! Its never enough!

Today was a really fun day! My grandmother and I went to the mall and had lunch, then did some shopping. I ended up purchasing my luggage for Hawaii! I've had my eye on it for a while and it was on sale, so I thought... why not?! After that, we went to pick up a few groceries and I ended up buying a new plant; an African Violet that I've named Misty! African Violets are supposedly one of the easiest plants to care for and it was also on sale for $3, so I figured it was a good investment. Hopefully I can keep it alive!

Now I'm just relaxing and watching The Walking Dead with some Thai Express and iced tea. Its so wonderful! My first day of my three days off has already made me feel so much better. I definitely will feel great by Monday when I go back to work.

Update: not long after writing this blog, I found a long beige knitted cardigan with pockets online and purchased it! It was only $17 including taxes and shipping and its from a Canadian retail chain store that I have purchased lots of clothing from over the years. I'm amazed that I got such a good deal!

  1. That cardigan is amazing! I love something warm and soft for in between summer and fall. Plus, the color matches everything!
