♪♫ Starman - David Bowie
Well, its been another week of school and volunteering... except that Wednesday was a snow day. On my free days (I only go to school/volunteer on Wednesdays & Thursdays), I kept myself busy with cleaning, cooking, baking, etc. Overall, its been a less than thrilling week. Especially with the passing of two amazing talents; David Bowie and Alan Rickman. I was, and still am, a fan of both men. Its such devastating news. My heart goes out to their families and friends. Rest in peace David and Alan! ❤️❤️❤️

I need to re-watch Labyrinth and all the Harry Potter movies very soon!
A few somewhat exciting food related things happened this week. Starting with... oranges are now in season, and they taste amazing this time of year! I'm eating one everyday until Spring! Also, I read that flavored sparkling water is a good substitute for pop (it has zero calories, zero sugar, zero pretty much everything!), so I bought a bottle (peach flavored!). I've actually never really had a problem with pop, but its nice to drink something that isn't plain water (pretty much all I drink)! And, I made healthy vegan (I'm not vegan fyi) chocolate banana ice cream (no refined sugar - its made with all natural ingredients)! I was skeptical, but its really good! I'm definitely gonna be making it a lot, and eating it whenever I have a chocolate/ice cream craving! The recipe is here for anyone who is interested.

I keep discovering new little tricks when it comes to clean eating, and I love it! Today I discovered that one cheat meal a week is beneficial, and can trick your body into burning more fat than normal! I'm having my cheat meal tomorrow actually... fish and chips with gravy! Yum! I may be extra bad and get a root beer or chocolate milk with my meal, haha! Oh, and I'm going to Cape Breton tomorrow as well. I'm staying until Sunday, I think. I'm going for my grandparent's 50th anniversary surprise party. It should be a good time! Goodbye for now!
