I'm forcing myself to write this blog, because honestly; I'm exhausted & I don't want to right now. But, I'm gonna be busy in the next couple of days & this is the only chance I have to write it. Y'know, before people start bitching at me for not blogging enough. To start off; I went to see the Sorcerer's Apprentice last week & I loved it! Okay, so maybe the main reason I loved it is because Jay Baruchel is a hottie, haha. But I can't help myself! I have a thing for cute nerds. :)
Now for the best news ever; I received my copy of Aselin Debison's new CD in the mail! She even signed it for me! (picture on left, click to enlarge). I was literally freaking out because I was so excited about it. If you ever get a chance, go on Youtube & look up some of her music. Its kinda like Celtic/Folk music, if you are wondering.
I attended a tea party a few days ago. It was held in Helen Creighton's old house, which is a huge Victorian style mansion. Well not a mansion, but its a pretty big house. Anyways, we got a tour of the house (its a historical museum now), then we went into the basement for tea & scones. I don't think I've ever tasted scones so good in my life. Plus, they had my favorite tea! And the best part is; I'm going back again next week & this time they are gonna have folk music!
That same day I went into downtown Halifax for some shopping. I got a bunch of little knick knacks. The best thing I bought was a pride flag. No I'm not gay, but I'm a huge supporter. I believe that people should be able to love & marry whoever they want, regardless of gender. So I'm going to put the flag outside my door, to show my support. Go pride!
The day after that, my grandmother took me to see Step Up 3. We ended up going to the theater early, so we played games at the arcade for a bit. I won a couple of little toys, but nothing really awesome (like a giant teddy bear or a barbie car xD). Anyways, the movie was really good. I nearly melted when I seen that Moose was back. Hes such a cutie! :)
My grandfather took me to the museum yesterday. I wasn't expecting anything too exciting, but I was in for a surprise. Once I arrived, there was a group of people surrounding a man, who was holding something. Once I pushed my way in, I noticed that he was holding...*suspenseful music*...a tarantula. An actual living tarantula! He was passing it around so people could hold it & before I knew what I was doing, I was holding it. The creature that people run screaming from with fear, was in my very hands...but honestly it wasn't scary at all. In fact they are kinda cute lovable little things (if you can believe that). I also got to hold a scorpion & a snake.
Last night, while I was suffering from boredom, my grandmother offered to take me out for ice cream & to Chapters to look around. So off we went, on an adventure! Okay, not really...but it sounds more exciting when someone says "adventure". I ended up getting a Harry Potter wand (nerdiness ftw) & a book called The Prophecy of the Sisters. I'm really excited to read it...even though I'm a huge slacker & I probably wont get around to reading it for a while.
Well ladies & gentlemen, that brings us to today. I actually ended up going back to the museum to see the creatures again & I got to hold my lil buddy (the tarantula). Plus I got my cousin Marta to hold him too. She was nervous, but after holding him, she was no longer scared. Then she took me out for supper. After that, we went to Shopper's Drug Mart to buy some random stuff (ex. makeup, a zebra print binder, etc).
Well that about sums up my busy week. I'll try & blog a bit more often. I know that I don't really blog about "feelings" or "opinions" or whatever, but right now in my life, there isn't much going on to have "feelings" or "opinions" about. When school starts, things will most likely get interesting. So I'm gonna go. I'll leave you with a new picture of me. Until next time; Goodbye!
