♪♫ Art Deco - Lana Del Rey
Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a good weekend! I spent my weekend in Cape Breton (visiting family for Thanksgiving). I had a great time! I mostly ate a ton of delicious food (all vegetarian of course) and watched horror movies with my dad. I also took a new selfie... for the first time in months, haha! It was so nice to relax and not think about work for 3 days. It was much needed self care time! I definitely am proud of how I've been prioritizing self care over taking extra shifts to make more money. Mental health is more important than a big paycheck for sure!

I came back yesterday and I was completely exhausted because I had to get up at 7:30 am and I'm not used to that (because I work so many night shifts). Before I got a taxi home from the bus terminal, I picked up some garlic fingers with donair sauce for my lunch. When I got home, I got into my comfy pajamas, put the new episode of Riverdale on and pigged out! I ended up making apple crisp from scratch later on, which I ate with Halo Top's Vanilla Bean ice cream and it was amazing. I ended my day by binge watching more of Supernatural season 14 and drinking some hot chocolate in my pumpkin scarecrow mug.

Today I had to get up early again to go to training for work. The training was only 30 minutes long, so it was a bit of a pain in the ass to have to travel all the way there so early in the morning. At least its done though! When I got home, I made a yummy lunch and finished the last episodes of Supernatural season 14; now I'm ready for season 15! Now I'm making apple crisp from scratch again (I had just enough ingredients to make a 2nd one) and watching Friends. I have a night shift tonight, so I'll be going to bed soon. I hope everyone is doing well!

ReplyDeleteSounds like a very nice time, spending days with family and delicious food. I agree that mental health is waaayy more important than working yourself to death. I use to be a super hard worker and then got upset when I still got yelled at so now I just take it easy heh. btw, you are very pretty, lovely selfi ♥
