Things have improved immensely in the past week! I sat down and made a plan for how I can take care of myself while I go through my work placement and school work. So far, its been amazing! Also, on Wednesday, I got to visit another program that is connected to my work placement. I did a shift there and I absolutely loved it! I actually loved it more than the place I'm currently doing my work placement. It was a breath of fresh air and just what I needed honestly. It brought my self confidence back and made me feel passionate about my work again. Speaking of work, I am going to apply for a casual relief position at the organization I'm doing my work placement with next week. This position will allow me to work at three locations, including my work placement and the program that I got to visit on Wednesday! Wish me luck!
I had the day off today, so I completed my homework, had dinner with family and did a bit of grocery shopping. I have tomorrow off as well, which is the day I'm getting my grad photos done! I'm a bit nervous honestly. I have never graduated before. Not even high school! I ended up dropping out and getting my GED years later. Anyways, its almost the end now and its surreal. I can't believe I've almost made it! Success is not a feeling I am used to. I don't know what to do with myself! I wish I was able to just enjoy this feeling, but it feels so foreign to me. Mostly I have been distracting myself from thinking too much about it. Sometimes if I think too deeply about it... it freaks me out. I'm a weirdo, I know. I'm sure most people have no idea what I'm talking about, but its how I feel!
I also received some packages in the mail today; two collections of Stephen King movies on DVD and a David Lynch vinyl figure (that I mentioned in my last blog). I can't wait to watch the movies! Also, the David Lynch figure comes with a tiny donut. Its so cute!

Now I'm going to relax and read some Lucifer fan fiction. I'm having withdrawal since I finished watching all the episodes and season four doesn't come out until next week!

I have not read a Stephen King novel before but, it's nice to have a good productive day.

Good luck! I hope you get the casual relief position! It sounds like it would be a good fit and stepping stone to something when school and your work placement is completely done. I loved reading Stephen King novels when I was younger. I like scary books or books with twisting plot lines. I was never a fan of the movies mainly because I don't like scary movies. I'm a chicken that way lol.
ReplyDeleteI think I have only listened to one of them songs lol.
ReplyDeleteSo awesome that things have gotten better for you, and congrats on everything, I think that is a really amazing thing that you have accomplished so much. I think that your feelings are understandable, and I think it's okay to deal with it however you see fit.
