♪♫ Take It As It Comes - The Doors
Well, I successfully got through my first week of school! We didn't actually do any work though... it was just an orientation week. But yeah... I pushed myself out of my comfort zone several times, which I'm very proud of. I spoke up in class, made conversation with people that I didn't know, and participated in the Quad Cup challenge (all the classes compete against each other in a series of activities). I'm feeling pretty great about everything. Well... except for one thing... 1/3 of my class are 18/19 year olds who are fresh out of high school. I'm finding it hard to interact with them, because I'm older and on a different maturity level. Nothing against them personally. They act the way that all 18/19 year olds do. Nothing wrong with that. I'm just looking to hangout with people my age or older, y'know?
I didn't do much else this week, except for yesterday... which was super busy. I woke up at 7:00 am, had breakfast, did dishes, got ready, went to the farmer's market (caught the last few minutes of a first nations' performance outside the market), went to the bank, went to the grocery store, went to the post office, walked around and looked in random stores (found a copy of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 for $3 in an obscure little shop!), went to the dollar store (bought a little box to hold my TV remotes, a coffin box for my makeup, & fuzzy Halloween socks), went to Cole's (bought a new copy of IT by Stephen King to replace my old one), got Subway for dinner, cleaned my bedroom, ground flax seeds with my food processor, did laundry (just towels), and studied the driver's handbook + started making flash cards.

Today has been more of a relaxing day. I did have a few things to do... but none of them required me to go out of the house. I completed the WHMIS and OH&S courses online (which I need for school), cubed/pressed/baked an entire block of tofu for TLT wraps for my lunches this week, and cleaned my room up a bit more. I also made myself a super easy and delicious supper; toast with mashed avocado and vegan tomato soup that I found at the grocery store! I have enough left to have it for dinner for two more nights too! Its so much cheaper to eat the same thing for a few nights in a row... I'm finding all kinds of ways to save money since I'm a poor college student now, haha.

That is it for now. I'm gonna have a shower, then either watch something on Netflix or start reading IT, and have a snack before going to bed. Hopefully I get a good sleep, because I have to wake up at 6:00 am tomorrow...
