So sorry that I haven't updated my blog in a while! I was away on vacation with Matt, but I'm home now. We got back on Friday. After checking the pile of mail I had waiting for me on the bed (I got a few Harry Potter games, a DS browser & a cute pair of earbuds!), we immediately began to paint my room. It seemed like a great plan...but it didn't go so well. We got paint on the carpet. So I had to run out to Walmart and get some carpet cleaner. Among other random things (large mirror, curtain rod, pillow cases, etc). I also ended up getting a trippy looking photo outside the mall. :P
Anyways, Matt had stopped painting when I got back home (because his parents came home & they were a bit pissed off). We cleaned the carpet. Thankfully the paint came out. And Matt's dad told us that he'd teach us how to paint the next day. I was honestly feeling kinda depressed. I wanted everything to go faster than it was going. :(
We did a lot of painting the next day (yesterday). However...we ran out of paint. I don't have money to get more right now. So I'm letting it go for now. But I got one quarter of the room finished! So Matt's dad and I set up my shelves! By the time we finished, the paint was dry. Wooo! I got to put a bunch of my stuff away! Plus Matt's sister left behind a desk, which ended up looking great after I put a tablecloth over it. I don't have to buy one now. Yay!
Today was quite productive. I set up my TV stand by myself! Okay...Matt had to tighten the screws. But I did everything else. I'm so proud of myself! And it was easier than I thought! So I got to set my TV up, plus my game systems! The other half of the room is still piled with boxes, furniture and junk. And will be for a while. But it doesn't matter, because I have my own space now! Wooo! :D
I've been enjoying it all day. And Matt too. I don't even mind him being in here. Because I'm surrounded by all my stuff and I have control over everything. My anxiety and depression levels have reduced a significant amount. Its so awesome! ^_^

I'm gonna snuggle up in bed with Matt, pig out on a giant bag of Smartfood Popcorn and watch Friends. I'll blog again soon! :3

I love how everything looks so far, even though the room is half-painted in the picture, I love how you guys have everything set up and starting to look more like a home for yourselves :3 Isn't it awesome to finally have your own space? :D I felt so free (and still do) now that we have our own place, here. Enjoy! <3
