the tortured artist, the jaded cynic

♪♫ Surprise, Surprise - Billy Talent

I hate the fact I put off blogging for over a week. I have so much to talk about, its gonna take a while. And I have lots of pictures to post as well. Bare with me here. :)

So I got into playing Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker right after I finished writing my last blog. I hadn't played it in months because I was stuck on a part and didn't know how to get past it. But I found a walk-through on YouTube and I got past it! I got pretty far actually. I've almost beat the game. But I probably wont for a while due to some recent distractions that I'm going to discuss momentarily.

Monday was a somewhat depressing day. I started feeling very alone because I've barely seen my friends in a while. I woke up really early and went to get my taxes done. Then I bought a bagel for breakfast and walked around uptown for a little while. I had to be home by noon to take my pill, which sucked because I really wanted to stay out. But not long after taking my pill, I grabbed my camera and took a lovely picture of myself, then went back outside to take pictures. My mom got me to get us Subway for dinner, since I was already nearby. I had to wait a couple hours for Bates Motel when I got home, so I drew a picture to pass the time (Jim Morrison!). It ended up being the best picture I've ever drawn!

On Tuesday, I went to see Megan and Marcus. It was a pretty great time. Marcus told me he is gonna give me Megan's old Super Nintendo games because her Super Nintendo broke a while ago. I'm beyond excited! Some of the games are; Super Mario All-Stars, Bomberman, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong, Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, etc. I'm mostly excited about Super Mario All-Stars because its four Mario games in one and Super Mario Bros 3 is my favorite game ever! Besides that, BJ showed up for a little while near the end of the evening. We just sat around eating junk food and watching The Lost Boys 2. Then BJ walked me to the bus stop and I headed home.

Wednesday was a somewhat busy day. I had an appointment early in the morning with my psychiatrist. He told me that he wants to help me move out on my own, which is exciting. On my way home, I stopped at Cole's and ordered the Harry Potter Crystal Ball Sticker Kit, because its the only Harry Potter Sticker Kit that I don't have yet. When I got home, my mom wanted me to go with her to help her get money on her phone, because she has no idea how to do it. We also did a bit of shopping and had lunch at The Coffee Mill. They have the best vanilla milkshakes and poutine. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I stuck around the mall for a couple hours after my mom left, but I didn't buy anything exciting. Just come cigarettes, white chocolate and orange pop.

I went to Kara's after that. We went to visit Garnet, but he wasn't home. His brother Adam was though, so we just chilled with him. We hardly ever hangout anymore, so we had a lot of catching up to do. It was a great time. But she couldn't stay long, so I decided to drop by Megan's, since she lives close by. She was home and had some strange news to tell me; her friend (who I've barely spoken to) is telling her that I talk bad about her all the time on Facebook, but I've literally never spoken to her on Facebook. Only time I've spoken to her is when Megan invites her over. Megan believes me, obviously. But she is completely insane. I decided to go home early, because I was hungry and bored.

I checked the mail on my way in and found a book that I ordered two days prior to receiving it. I ordered it from the UK, it was $7 including shipping, used and in great condition. I'm very impressed! The book is "The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer". She was the main character of the show Twin Peaks, which I fucking love. Its kinda funny though, because I showed my mother the book and she ran out of my room freaking out, because she thinks I look like Laura Palmer. Anyways, the rest of my night was spent eating a pile of food (pizza, onion rings & chicken strips) and watching the new episode of Supernatural, plus other shows.

When I woke up on Thursday, it was around noon, so my mom was making Pizza for lunch. So technically I had pizza for breakfast. And while watching Game of Thrones. It was awesome. I spent the rest of the day watching Doctor Who. It was my first time watching Doctor Who and I fucking love it now. I feel like I should have my geek membership revoked for not having seen it before a couple days ago. But at least I'm watching it now. Its the 2005 revived series, just to clarify. And I started from the very beginning.

My mom left early Friday morning to visit my step dad at college for a few days. So I've got the house to myself. I decided to completely clean and organize my room, plus re-arrange all the furniture. It took forever. But it looks amazing now. I also got an email saying that a package was waiting for me at the post office, so I got ready quickly and headed down. I found the Led Zeppelin comic I ordered on top of my mail box when I was walking out my door. I opened it as I walked and I'm really impressed. Perfect condition and hilarious. First thing I see when I opened it up was Jimmy Page surrounded by young girls and him saying "now which one of you young ladies wants to go first?". Best thing ever.

Anyways, the package hadn't actually arrived yet. The lady told me the packages were being dropped off later that evening. So I went back home and did some more cleaning. I called around 6:30 pm and she told me that the packages had just arrived. So I headed there again. I got my package with no problems. It was kinda heavy though and I had to run to the bank to get money out, then catch a bus to the grocery store because I had no food. I went to Shopper's first and got a phone card, a better pill divider and sticky tac. Then I stopped into the pawn shop quickly and looked through the Super Nintendo games and GameCube games and ended up finding Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for ten dollars, so I bought it. Then I bought groceries and had to get a cab home, which I hate because its so expensive, but I couldn't carry everything.

So obviously the package turned out to be the Super Nintendo with Super Mario World that I ordered off Ebay. I opened it as fast as I could and set it up. It was a scary moment when I first went to turn it on, because I wasn't sure if it was gonna work. But it works! Its in great condition too! I'm so happy with it. Totally worth the $116 I paid for it. It took me half an hour to put my groceries away, because I was so excited about the Super Nintendo. xD

My boyfriend told me he was gonna stop by after work, so I had to rush getting ready. He showed up around 10:00 pm and we went to meet our friend (he is also my ex boyfriend, but everything is okay between us). We're all legal age and usually don't get ID'd, but we tried going to our usual bar and they made us leave because our friend forgot his ID. We tried a couple other places and the same thing happened. Finally we found a bar that we never heard of before. It was full of bikers and older people. The music was all classic rock (fuck yes!) and a little bit of country and pop. My boyfriend and our friend were drinking beer. I had a Coke, water and a bag of chips, because I quit drinking. Its funny though, because I got ID'd for the bag of chips for some reason. Then we seen panties hanging from a telephone pole when we went out for a smoke. We left the bar around midnight and went to Subway, then went and sat in the square. We had a lot of weird conversations and laughs and the whole night was bizarre and fantastic. Our friend left and BJ and I went to my house. We laid in my bed and talked about deep stuff. I was in a funny mood. After he left, I passed out pretty fast.

Yesterday I spent most of my day playing Super Mario World, listening to Queen and watching Doctor Who. Plus I made myself a bracelet that says "relax" to remind myself to do so when my anxiety gets bad. Also, my whole body was sore from all the walking and whatnot that I've been doing lately. BJ came over in the evening and we played Super Mario World. I let him take over for a while, because I wanted to put some posters up on my walls. We aren't allowed to use nails, tacs, tape, etc on the walls here. I'm not sure why, but sticky tac is allowed and it took me forever to actually buy it. But I'm glad I did, because I now I have a Led Zeppelin poster and a Supernatural poster over bed, a map of Middle Earth over my desk and a Beatles poster over my bureau. BJ told me he had to leave early and it triggered an anxiety attack, because I had plans to talk to him later in the night about my problems and I panicked because I didn't want to have to be alone and wait. He stayed a little while longer and calmed me down, then his mom picked him up. I spent the rest of my evening tidying my room. I passed out pretty quickly when I actually got into bed.

Today has been boring so far. I've done the dishes, played some Super Mario, fed the cat...which reminds me; she is driving me insane. She keeps running around, knocking things over, biting me and meowing. Its very unusual behavior for her. I think its because she misses my mother. But yeah...BJ says he may stop by later. Also, I'm really craving KFC. I want popcorn chicken so badly.

P.S. This blog was a huge pain in the ass to write. -_-

  1. Oh man!! You bought Twilight Princess for only ten dollars?? That's amazingness, my brothers bought theirs when it first came out so it was full price, but I've seen it used at the comic book shops for about twenty dollars, too. So expensive. Oh well, that's why I borrow my games most of the time unless I really know I'm going to play it all the time - especially Zelda games ;) Windwaker is SO much fun, I'm glad you found a walk through for it, that game was challenging for me, as well... what part were you stuck on?

I love that bracelet you made, the 'relax' one. So colorful and calming, it makes me want to get back into making bracelets and necklaces. I use those beads as well, the plastic ones. They're a lot of fun to make and keep yourself pre-occupied with :)
