I safely arrived in Halifax yesterday! I'm sooo happy to be here! So far my vacation has been going good. Yesterday we didn't do anything, because it was raining & none of us had money. So we stayed home & I watched TV, browsed the web & ate junk food. Pretty much what I did back home. Honestly I was a bit disappointed because usually we do something fun the first day of vacation. But I guess I shouldn't complain. At least I got to go on vacation, right?
Today I woke up & the sun was shining. So I knew we'd most likely be doing something. Even if it was just going for a walk. I got ready & waited for my cousin to come home from work. When she got home, we decided we would go out for supper. So we ended up driving into downtown Halifax. Let me tell you; biggest mistake ever. We didn't know something big was going on at the Metro Center & we couldn't find a place to park. We drove around for an hour looking for parking before we gave up.
Anyways, we ended up driving out to Bedford & eating at a place called The Chicken Burger. I had never been there before & I'm glad I went, because I loved it! It was like a little fifties diner with a jukebox & everything! Apparently they have the best hamburgers in Canada, so I ordered one & I wasn't disappointed, because it was amazing!
Afterward, we drove to the nearby mall to do some shopping. We tried on shoes for a little while, but had no luck. Then we looked around a store for purses, but still; no luck. Then I seen it...the store I practically live in; Indigo (aka book heaven). So we looked around & sure enough, we ended up buying a book (Marta), Supernatural magazine (me) & a bookmark (Nana Claire). I'm so happy I got the magazine because it comes with a Jared Padalecki poster! :)
Well thats about all for now. I shall blog again soon. Probably in a couple days. Goodbye!

ReplyDeleteI know, but that's almost the good thing about our friendship - it's so super special because we only ever do exciting things together: the allnighter that started it all, the street dance, the fireworks, and then fair :)
I just googled Halifax, hahah, I didn't know where it was before, but its super pretty there :) The Chicken Burger? I've never heard of it either, but it sounds super cute and delish :)

ReplyDeleteI hate when I go on vacation and it rains. I usually go to a beach for vacations and when it rains you're really stuck with nothing to do. I hate when I go into the city and there's no where to park. It honestly does put a bummer on the day. I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation.
